This is our second year at Errol Hassell my kids love going to school. All the teachers, staff and volunteers I met are doing their best to support the children and help them grow and learn.

This school is great but the music teacher is very "fun"... If you know what I mean by "fun". She is really rude to kids and does not listen to how the kids feel, As a student in this school I do not appreciate the disrespect from this teacher. I am Hawaiian and she told me how to say something incorrect is very rude and unkind. I am in 5th grade and I am now glad to leave this school because of her but over all a really great school.

My children have attended Errol Hassell Elementary School since Kindergarten. We have had a great experience at the school. The teachers have all been absolutely amazing (except one, who was only there during distance learning and is no longer at the school anymore, they seemed very inexperienced). Both of my children have found their teachers to be kind, compassionate, engaging, and fun! The staff members are like family to my kids and to the neighborhood/community, everyone knows the crossing guards, the bus drivers, the custodians, the librarian and on and on. Our principal is making the world a better place by incorporating discussions about race, diversity, and inclusion. As a BIPOC parent, I feel welcome at Errol Hassell and I'm glad all students at the school are encouraged to be change makers and empathic human beings. I'm so happy my kids have the opportunity to attend such a progressive and supportive school. The PTO and all of the volunteers at the school are so friendly and down to earth, I've met so many incredible people while volunteering at school. Cosmetically, the school is nothing to look at, it's the inside that counts.

I used to go to this school from first grade to fifth grade. I had a great experience there and all they kids and teachers there were nice. I graduated from Errol Hassell in 2018-2019 year.

All, but one of my daughter’s teachers during her 6 years at Errol Hassel have been wonderfully effective at teaching beyond the basics, and challenging students that are working above their grade level. The teachers’ ability to adapt and create curriculum during the online adaptations due to COVID-19 has been amazing.

My daughter was a transfer student here. She attended KG and 1st grade here. I am so grateful that the principal accepted us into this school . This year her transfer request did not get approved as their enrollment is full. I was truly disappointed! The principal is great, she is one of the most polite person I ever met. She is very kind and courteous and capable. And really involved in the welfare of the students. Her KG teacher Mrs Moon is the best ever. Kind, compassionate and an excellent teacher. She made GraceLin feel totally at home. From the front office staff to the principal, my daughter was accepted and well cared for academically, emotionally and otherwise. Every morning when we entered the school, GraceLin was greeted by her first name. This school became our extended family. No matter what challenges we experienced, GraceLin never felt criticized or condemned . Front office staff Tracey and Sandie are just wonderful and very flexible! Her 1st grade teacher Mrs Young is great. Her ELL teacher Mrs Osborn was amazing - GraceLin LOVED her and the ELL classes. I am sad that she cannot attend this year, but we will always think of this school with fondness. My daughter thrived at this school, and I am grateful for that. I highly recommend this school.

We have had Three birth children and numerous Foster children lucky enough to call this school their own.... every teacher that we have had has become a "partner" in our education goals for the kids.. they all seem to really care for their students and often go above and beyond the basic standards.. the principles that we have had have all been GREAT.. our oldest started there in 1994 and our youngest is there now.... so we have a 20 year history with this school... I only wish that the middle and High schools in the Area could be as good as Errol Hassell... We believe that the partnership that the school has with the parents (they really encourage parent involvement) is one of the reasons that make this such a great school.

What a fabulous school! The teachers are kind, attentive and inspirational to the students and parents alike. No question that the 2012-13 budget cuts have created a huge strain on the entire Beaverton School District, Yet this school seems to rise to the challenge and provide the students with everything they need.

I have heard nothing but good things about this school. My son is starting Kindergarten there. I am giving five stars to counteract the one star left by a parent who obviously has no idea what extreme measures the district had to take this school year due to budget cuts. Hopefully things will only get better from here!

Unfortunately, our child cannot go to school here. The kindergarten class has 38 children! Can you believe that? It seems like there should be some type of law not allowing that. According to the district office, the principal had to decide which grades to cut. So, a few days before school started she decided to get rid of the other kindergarten teacher! Why would kindergarten have the most students of all the grade levels? This used to be a good school, but after the budget cuts all the schools are not doing well. I just can't bring my child to a place like this. It really is sad. There used to be handprints on the walls from years of children who had earned hornet points for being good citizens and making a positive difference... Well, SOMEBODY decided to paint over those handprints. What does that tell you?
