All 3 of my kids attended Arco Iris. It was a great experience! They are fully bilingual and were able to start in AP Spanish in high school. I can't say enough about the community and family feel of the school.

Teachers can't control classes. One of my kids cries often due to emotional bullying - from teacher. Other kid is left out of all group projects and on her own. School doesn't follow its own rules on food allergies and dress code. Not every class has an English teacher who knows English so papers are "corrected" to wrong spellings, etc. We're so tired of kids begging to stay home and not get an education that we're moving to a different school district entirely. The days here just sound like pointless chaos.

This is our first year attending Arco Iris. It has been very a very positive experience so far. All of the staff has been very welcoming and supportive. We appreciate the additional and personalized support our daughter received at the beginning of the school year to develop her reading skills. We highly recommend the school.

Our fourth grader has been going to Arco since kindergarten. He's had a great experience. The staff/teachers care a lot, and are given the supports and active administrative encouragement to in turn support their students. The quality of education is high as well, and those kids coming in who don't already know Spanish are well supported.

My son has attended Arco since kindergarten, and we've had a very positive experience! The parent community is very active and the administration is responsive. I love that this charter school owns and operates their own building. We've had wonderful experiences with all our teachers and love that they have represented different Spanish speaking countries.

Both my children go to Arco Iris School and we love it here! I can’t say enough good things about how amazing the teachers are and how much they care for each and every student. The teachers and staff are not only fantastic, but they create a wonderful learning environment, and strive to get to know each and every child. The Arco family - teachers, admin, students, and families - is one of a kind! There is a true sense of community and support. Every school has its share of issues and problems, but the admin, staff, board, families, and PTO are constantly working to improve and make this school the best it can be! My kids are excited to go to school each day. It is fantastic watching my children grow and thrive and become more fluent everyday as they learn to speak the language. I am proud to be a part of this small tight-knit family and believe my kids will continue to grow and become well-rounded productive members of society thanks to Arco Iris Spanish Immersion School.

We’ve now had four kids at Arco Iris over the past 9 years, and we’ve been very pleased with the education our children have received. The teachers and administrators are excellent, and the school has a really warm parent and family community. We love that are kids are able to learn Spanish from native speaking teachers. Our kids have had some awesome teachers over the years!

My children have grown and thrived at this school. They look forward to going to school and I feel that knowing Spanish will benefit their future no matter what they choose to do. Our only frustration is that every year we loose staff to other schools because as a Charter school, Arco can't afford to pay them what other schools can.

Good until Principal Diaz left. They have a new building now. It does not matter. We are out.

Overall terrible. I'm extremely glad I left. My new school is much better. Don't attempt going there

At one point, the Singapore math, Spanish immersion, and general academic excellence more than made up for the lack of music and art classes, sports, and the constraints of the facilities. However, constant upheaval, haphazard teacher hiring, teachers and principal leaving mid-year, lack of teacher training and oversight, and a general lowering of expectations have led to falling test scores and many families have reevaluated and transferred to their neighborhood schools. The building is at this point far too small to accommodate the growing school, access to the small outdoor space is too restrictive for proper recess time, and the cafeteria is too small to accommodate classes for a reasonable lunch time. Most of the online statistics are from 2015, but things have changed since then.

My child has been a student for a few years and I plan to have their sibling join them. The school has challenges related to space that are common with a charter school, but the benefits out way the concerns. The staff and teachers are amazing and students not only are strong in Spanish, but Math and English as well. They are also taught to care about one another. This year the school gained an incomparable principal who I have no doubt will push the school forward. The PTO is the most dedicated you will ever see and the Board is present and available as needed. I highly recommend and was not surprised when I saw they were the number 1 charter in Oregon.

Great students, teachers and staffs. Very safe environment. My kids don't want to leave even though they got accepted by another "high demand " school.
