My Grandson attends this school and is bullied every day. He says he tells the teachers and most of the bullying happens when there are subs. I'm greatly concerned especially to the degree of bullying verbally and physically that is happening to him. How on earth is this tolerable? To what extent does it take for this school to be held accountable for it's students safety and well being? A lawsuit perhaps? Please share your experiences and help stop this torturing from being swept under the rug.

I have two students who attended this school (one on an IEP). My IEP student is on the spectrum and was mostly left to fend for herself. She had a couple of amazing staff members who did their best to support her, but I don't feel like the majority of her teachers were very accommodating. For example, she has an accommodation for modified homework and the teachers were expecting me to determine which problems my student could skip within an assignment. They were also expecting my student to advocate for herself, even though it states in her IEP, that she has a hard time advocating for herself. My student is a pro at disappearing into a book during class and most of her teachers couldn't be bothered to do check-ins with her and make sure she was on task and/or knew what she needed to be working on (also in her IEP).On top of trying to make sure accommodations were met, I was driving myself crazy trying to determine what my students' assignments were. Canvas is an absolute nightmare to navigate, as there's no standard that every teacher follows. They all post information differently and clicking into every class to determine what's what, made worse with multiple students, it felt like I was on an endless scavenger hunt. Additionally, Parentvue is a superfluous software. As far as bullying, this school is one of the worst and one of the bullies is on staff as a guidance counselor. I made a formal complaint to the principal about her, but it was right before COVID hit and I'm not sure anything ever happened. My younger student was having friend trouble and this counselor, on two separate occasions, listened to one side of the story and advised my daughter's friend to end their friendship. She invited both girls to her office to facilitate the friend break-up, not once asking my daughter her side of things. My daughter was blindsided and left without an explanation. When I asked the counselor about it, she denied seeing my daughter, even though my daughter had been in her office only a few days prior. Months later, it was determined that the counselor told the friend that my daughter was manipulating her and needed to end it. The friend eventually decided that she didn't think it was true and wanted to be friends again, but that they would have to hide it from said counselor. This should speak volumes as to this woman's character. She shouldn't be advising anyone, let alone students.Overall, not a great school. Good intentions, very poor execution.

My children attended 8th grade and had a good experience. Their science and humanities teachers they enjoyed the most. Homework was reasonable that led to a balanced life.

maybe a 3-5 because of how they handle the troublesome kids, meaning the kids who like to mess around and don't like to pay attention.

I would have to say that the school does an okay job with their education. They treat us students as their own children and look out for us and only have our best interests at heart even if it is tough loving. Its a great school for disabled children as well because most of them I've seen have made some friends and are included though various activities and I've never seen them bullied. The teachers also are very kind to them as well. Overall its a pretty great school. The only thing is the water has lead poisoning so you can't drink out of there but luckily they've supplied us with Water dispensers and cups to get water if were thirsty.
