This last year with the new administration and staff has been very poor. It is a result of poor parental collaboration, poor communication, lack of skills/knowledge for differential learning. I would not recommend this school.

Good so far. Sped ed dept already got a new case manager. Too much teach turn over. They don't care about low test scores. The said my kid will do fine. I want my kid to be pushed.

It was interesting to say the least. Sci tech is a new school so they are still working out the kinks in the teaching. Also they go through tons of teachers at a time. When I left almost all of my teachers had quit

The school lacks discipline and students are beginning to run the classrooms. Teachers can not get through lessons due to rowdy classes which greatly henders test scores. Leadership staff seemed unsupportive of teachers causing high teacher turnover. Several classes went through 2-3 teachers within a school year. Bullying seems to be tolerated with little to no consequences. Classroom theft was not dealt with in a timely manner. Lower performing students are given more priority and special treatment. Little to no support for high performing students. This school has great potential but without changes to leadership, I would not recommend it to new students.

We are delighted to have found an International Baccalaureate degree programme right here in Austin. The school is relatively new and they are finding the right fit with staff and facilities, but my son (a 9th grader) is getting the attention and education we hoped for. My son is a high achiever, but was getting lost in the shuffle of a mediocre mega-school. We could not be happier with Sci-Tech -- except that I know they will only improve with time.
