This school is dangerous for students with autism. The school has multiple high support units and the principal has had no care for their well being or educational environment until an emergency happens. There is no follow through or support. Parents of students with high sensory needs, high support autism, ADHD, or emotional needs should be greatly cautioned when choosing this school while the current principal remains there.

The office staff is absolutely disgusting including the principal I’m not sure how they’re even employed most disgusting people ever!

Very poor, I was a very active participating parent. I was involved in my children's education. I was part of the PTA and the CAC, I attended most of the school functions and volunteered a lot of my time. I was able to see how things were with the administrators when the school opened to the recent administrators and wow what a difference. I don't understand how Dr Paul Cruz hasn't noticed the turn over of teachers that have left the school. They should interview all the teachers that were once under this administration and they'll tell you the humiliation they were put through and the tears that were shed because of that principal that doesn't deserve to be there. Oh and another thing that I noticed was that how convenient for this school to have all these great reviews on the same day.... May 20th had 12 teacher reviews with 4 to 5 stars, I wouldn't be surprised if the Principal had the staff so that in her office to make herself look good. The school district should a surprise visit or send someone undercover so you can see the real principal in action. Someone needs to wake up!!

So glad my children are not at this school anymore, and I hope more parents move their kiddos out of this toxic environment. Hopefully one day this school will get some great leaders and bring back the balance that this school so desperately needs.

This school as one time was a great school with exceptional leaders. This school can become great again, but not with this administrative staff. The students, parents, and community deserve so much better. I hope this school gets the leaders it truly deserves, and the great teachers it once had.

My experience has been mixed. Some years, if the parents are involved, then the students are more involved. It takes a village!

This is a school with high potential. There is a community of parents and teachers that work hard so that the children receive the best education possible. Unfortunately the hard work is undermined by the lack of discipline and teacher support. Monica Mills (Villasenor) has made it clear to her staff and the surrounding community that she does not interact with students or parents. Principals are suppose to be people that enjoy interacting with families, students, and staff. Monica Mills (Villasenor) is not one of those principals.

Disappointed with A.I.S.D...for keeping an incompetent principal to lead Rodriguez Elementary......--She did away with the P.T.A. back in 2009....--No discipline in the school...--poor teacher morale....--poor scores.....

We could not wait for the school year to be over. My intentions were to leave an honest review without personal emotions. I am not surprised by the current reviews. Yes, the principal of this school needs to be evaluated and removed from the schools. The principal is the head of the school, therefore represents the school. She is very unprofessional and has a horrible attitude problem towards parents and students. With 3 kids, we have never experienced this kind of unproffessionalism. I will say there are teachers here who are very good and care about their profession. The principal and those she hired, her friends, need to leave the education system.
