Special ed program in this school is bad. They take the easy way out. If you are parent with special education child please do research before enrolling. They promise something and eventually put the kids in ICAP. Advice to principal Ms Shelly- Please understand that special needs kids are children who need not be secluded as you think. Please change your mind set as this will jeopardize the school reputation

Great leadership, great staff, very active PTA. Only issue is the rezoning that is going on in Steiner Ranch. River Ridge was in the center of that and the UT Golf Club flexed their muscles (read: money) and got more deserving neighborhoods (as in closer to the school than them) rezoned.

The teacher who posted on January 30 clearly has an issue with the administrators at River Ridge. If this person was not offered a teaching position this post illustrates why. If the author is a current teacher at the school I can only hope that he or she reconsiders the method chosen to address a grievance. I want my child's teacher to treat everyone with kindness and respect, even when there are disagreements. Whatever the issue is, airing it in this manner is inappropriate and unprofessional. This is a wonderful school with a great staff. Everyone I met there is dedicated to making sure the students do their best. My daughter looks forward to every day.

The school itself is fantastic, as most of the teachers are too. However, the principal and vice principal are unprofessional, lack honesty and integrity. Their hiring process is less than professional. They choose to hire their 'favorites' over more experienced candidates and most of the teachers can't stand the VP, who is rude, petty and very unprofessional.
