We really love this school and are surprised by the low ratings compared to others in the LTISD. I think that may be due the different economic status of the students zone for this school. Regardless, it's a nice campus with very caring teachers. Administration has also been great. My son has special needs and the school has supported him well.

My son has been going to this school for the second year. He attends a special class and, thanks to this school, his development has made incredible progress. We love our teachers very much, they are the best and most compassionate people in the world.

Title 1 school + English language learners-lowest ranking school in the district; also ranks low compared to other surrounding districts. LTISD had a 7.8% special ed enrollment rate in 2016. Illegal cap on TX special ed 8.5%; national average special ed 13.5%. Talented & gifted program much improved. Experienced teachers are AWESOME! LTISD is much focused on sports, cheer, dance & struggles with TX dyslexia handbook; Student success initiative; Title 1 Part a Section 1118 parental involvement. School board will listen and make changes for improvement. Music dept has broadway style musical twice/ school year. School bond passed to improve LTISD playgrounds & replace school buses over 5 yrs old with new seatbelts. LTE Title 1 monies fund tutoring & schoolwide programs (not sure what else beyond "tutoring" & curriculum celebration nights; fun annual carnival fundraiser. Reading other comments, unresolved complaints can go to Superintendent and/or school board if not addressed by the Principal.

Terrible school. 3rd class education due to low-income school. Although there are some good teachers here....the principal is doing nothing to get rid of the bad ones. Lots of yelling (teachers to students) Reported a teacher for verbal abuse towards another child (my child witnessed) shortly afterwards, the teacher retaliated against my child by confronting her. Had to pull my child out of the class & move to another class. Teacher caught my child out in the hall alone and once again started giving my child a hard time by yelling. When we reported the incident to the principal = the teacher flat out denied it. I myself witnessed this same teacher yelling at a student (as I stood outside her classroom) Principal does nothing except "investigate" She is not strong enough to get rid of bad teachers. (She refuses to believe what the students & parents are experiencing)

This is school is a zoo! The kids are out of control and under supervised!! This district is as dirty as any other in town by keeping all their money in their more effluent neighboring schools. This school needs so much help there are so amazing teachers but they are few and far between! Shame on you Lake Travis ISD!

Hate this school! My husband didn't like public school and I fought for my daughter to go because I loved it as a child. This school is cold and uninviting. Believe me when I say your kid is nothing but a number. When my daughter started having a hard time I got tossed around like a Ping pong ball. No one was willing to step up. Then when I put in a transfer request and talked to the admin in charge of that and told him that I was willing to try anything, but how it was handled made a difference on us moving or homeschooling, because I was not willing to jeopardize my daughter's psychological health for their numbers and he said ok. I am in school to be an educator and this school had better believe they have not heard the last of me. If you actually care about where your child goes and you have an option. Do NOT send them here!
