My son's been here since kindergarten and he's in 5th grade now and the last 3 years have been a nightmare. They have been through so many principles and all the office people see a nightmare and one of the only good faculty member there that actually Advocates for the kids and families hates the staff and other employees so much she quit. Bullying is horrible and nothing is noticed or done unless you make a big deal about it. Dismissal is even worse the kids do whatever they want and that is when bullying is even worse. Just all around a horrific school there is a reason they are a 2 star school and have a 60% score for over all testing. I would find an alternative if at all possible and if not prepare yourself for yard times.

The school is racist and vindictive. If they will do it to adults, they'll do it to the children.

They don't recognize individual student academic achievements. Instead, everyone receives a "completion" certificate at the end of year event.

Great office staff and administration! We have had the best teachers in grades Kindergarten - 5th. Principle keeps us up on issues, calendar events. Fun after school activities. My son loves going to school!

I do not trust the school. I do not like the way that my sister was treated being denied access to her child for petty reasons

How dare the owner of the school refuse access to a mother to her children? The audacity of you to delete her from dojo to support her children academically because she did not speak to you. I think we need to contact the NAACP I think we need to call a civil rights lawyer. I think we need to bring more awareness around the equity that wasn’t provided to his mother and the human rights that was taken away from his mother.

The worst experience ever!!! Bullying is a serious problem at this school and the administration does nothing to resolve it. They promise you things that never happen, do not communicate with you when assaults happen. They do not following policies that are already in place. It shouldn’t take parents calling and not getting a response to go to the school to get some type of response. It’s a lot of empty promises. Area superintendent was notified… we shall see what happens.

We have had great success at RSE. Our children have flourished into young adults and always have just what they need to succeed. Over the past couple of years the school has been doing a great job into bringing more parent involvement and after school activities for the children. The teachers we’ve had really care for our students.

We only made it 8 months at this school before we moved to a better school district. This school is inadequate to say the least. The principal sends out multiple messages that lack any communication. Half the teachers don’t care. The students are wild and disruptive. I am so glad to be out of this school district.

Terrible school. Mr. Hay is a horrible principal. He needs to go shadow Mrs. Grimondo at Wolf Lake Elem. He doesn’t respond to parent questions or concerns, has poor communication and he hires inexperienced teachers.

RSE has experienced teachers and a dedicated staff. Teachers work overtime to meet students individual requirements. Principal has adapted new ideas, enlarged the number of computer rooms and created a Sensory Room for the ASD children.

This is a wonderful school. My children went there from 1st to 5th grade. The administrators and teachers are so supportive. Make sure you sign up for additions online in the beginning of the year. This lets parents come on campus while keeping our children safe. There are so many learning and fun opportunities for you and your child. Volunteer for one or come support your child when you can. I love this school and I recommend it!

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!! Lot's of bullying and nothing is done about it. It doesn't matter how high you take it. Be prepared for things to get worse after you make them aware. I pulled my three children out of this school. Went to another public school down the road and are so much happier. I wish someone would have warned us as we had sell our home to get out of that horrible school.

Test scores in the past have made this school not look as good as surrounding schools but being that my child has attended several of these local schools, I can honestly say my child is receiving a top notch education at Rock Springs Elementary. I love the teachers and when I walk in the office or attend an event I always feel like like they are happy I am there. We are hoping to stay in one place so our child never has to attend another elementary school.

What an amazing difference! This school just recently got a new administration and a beautiful new campus. The previous AP became their new principal (which he has always been great) and they received a new assistant principal. I went to "Meet the Teacher" and could not believe the changes from previous school years. ALL of the staff seemed super excited for the future of the school. Both administrators seemed extremely friendly and willing to work with me in regards to concerns I have for my children. From what I could tell they have a genuine love of their jobs and of working with children. (They were actually interacting with the parents and students which did not always happen with the previous principal.) I have seen previous reviews that were not favorable towards administration and can say that this new administration is a positive change. The teachers have always been great but I think with the new administration they will not be as stressed and it will be an awesome year. In regards to school grades, please do not be discouraged by the grade the state gave them. My kids have been there a few years and it is an "A" school all of the way.

Often times parents don't realize the administrative responsibilities of a school principle. They often forget the major move to an off-site campus to a new building. All of this has occurred within a year and a half. Add to that, the administration of the entire staff and 750 students. I believe that is the duty of the assistant principle is to meet and challenge students. Yes, he has done that and I believe that the principle has done an excellent job in "managing" the administrative affairs of RSE.

Great school with wonderful teachers. The principal is a NIGHTMARE. I can honestly say that I hate the woman - and pity the poor teachers who look like an anvil is about to drop on their heads at any moment. The new assistant principal is fabulous... I wonder how long until the principal breaks his spirit, too.
