It sucks. The teachers took sides against me, and nobody listens, I'm not allowed to call my mom, and they do not punish students for swearing or bullying.

My 1st grader loves going to school every day and gushes about his teachers. The curriculum is engaging, the culture is family centric, and the staff are amazing.

My kids have attended white pine charter school for years. It's small class sizes are nice because my kids get more attention. They engage in my children's education and put the children first.

This school is awful. The administration are more childlike than the children. It is so sad. They have 28 students to one teacher and they cannot give those kids what they need. It’s so bad it should be shut down. For the love of God do not send your kids here.

My son was struggling in the public school system and he started to fall through the cracks left by overwhelmed staff. I knew I needed to make a change and after touring White Pine, my son said to me, "Mom, I can see myself doing well here." This has proven true. He has more friends than before, is complaining a lot less and learning so much more. He rarely has homework and I can see he is progressing in his classes. I'm so grateful for this school and the caring teachers. They are also building a new school for next fall and we are really excited for it. I didn't give 5 stars only because, as a new student, the communication to parents has been very confusing. While teachers and the principal do a great job of keeping in touch with texts and emails, it's not clear to new parents/students who have never been through it before. For instance, I missed parent teacher meetings because they do it differently at White Pine. They call them "student-led conferences". I saw the emails about them going out but it was a busy week and I thought they were something the high school was doing (my son is in junior high). Plus, like with other schools, I thought I'd receive an email to make an appointment with his teachers. White Pine holds more of an open-house style meeting where you can come whenever you like. It's great, but this is just one example of not understanding things as a new student. Maybe an on-boarding packet explaining these things to new parents would do the trick? Otherwise, this school is great!

White Pine Charter School is a great school that works hard to provide a nurturing and personalized learning environment. The small class sizes allow for individualized attention, making sure that each student's needs are met. The amazing teachers at White Pine are not only highly qualified and knowledgeable, but they also have a genuine passion for teaching. Their dedication to their students' success is evident in their engaging and innovative teaching methods. I love the way they teach my kids according to their current learning level. If they need harder math, they’re taught harder math. If they need slower paced reading, they’re given that. If they didn’t finish their test on time, they’re given an opportunity to finish it later that day. The administration at White Pine is highly attentive and supportive. They know each student by name and really care so much for them. The school embraces diversity among its students which has created a rich and inclusive community. The family feel at White Pine is amazing, fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere where students feel safe and valued. I am always welcomed with a smile by the secretary every time I come in and helping in my kids’ classrooms or the PFA has felt rewarding as I’ve made new mom friends, I have built friendships with my kids’ teachers and administrators and I love getting to know the students in my kids’ classes. I highly recommend volunteering if you are able. It is a place where students and parents alike understand that you get what you put into it, encouraging active participation and engagement in the learning process of both student and parents. Coming to White Pine has been a great choice for our family and I hope you can have that same experience.

This school really focuses on the students and how they can help them. I am amazed at how much more my daughters are learning every day. I would recommend anyone to have their kids attend versus a normal school.

White Pine Charter School has been a remarkable journey for our family. Our kids have been part of this institution since kindergarten, and it's heartening to see our earliest kindergartener now thriving as a sophomore. My family moved here in March, 2023 which was awkward timing to move in the middle of the term. But White Pine Charter school welcomed us with open arms and they were more than accommodating as we transitioned to a new State, schools and neighborhood. We couldn’t be more impressed with these schools, the staff and the families. We have kids in both the Elementary school and at the STEM Academy. The sense of community, respect, and encouragement at both schools are tangible! I mean… what other school begins each day with the Pledge of Allegiance??? Our kids are receiving the well-rounded education they need in a wholesome and loving atmosphere they deserve. Thank you, White Pine for being so awesome! Go Cougars!

This school is very community oriented and very focused on student development. Teachers are all kind and love teaching the kids.
