Mountain Valley has been wonderful for my children for 7 years. The principal has been so patient with my kids and constructively helps them when they are having a challenge in their day. The school counselor is wonderful. She is very knowledgeable about children and their mental health needs. The kids adore her. All of the teachers we have had have been outstanding. I think the balance of social-emotional teaching combined with quality academics makes Mountain Valley a great school.

If we could give this school a zero we would. My son has ADHD and his 504 plan was continually ignored. They do not discipline bullying either, in fact one of the teachers participates in the bullying.This particular teacher is very cringy as he seperates " the cool kids" from the other kids. My son was harrassed in the classroom, bathroom, and playground just because he is very active. Principal is a nice guy but has zero control. My child never had problems at his previous school.

It's good school until it's not. (There are some great teachers though, I will give them credit for that). But have you meet the principal? Just one small example...don't get frustrated at a teacher in front of the students because she choose to let her classroom stay inside on a cold, winter day while he insisted they go outside. If it's too cold for the principal to go outside then it should be too cold for the kids to go outside. I cringe at giving this review even one star. More like zero stars would be better.

It is not as good as I expected. Also the yearbook should focus on each child, seems the staff gets more focus, we'd rather see the kids.

I have had children at this school since it opened three years ago. My son had one teacher that he really struggled with, but our experience with all of the other teachers has been wonderful. The STEM program is amazing. My children have number sense. They don't just memorize algorithms after going to Mountain Valley. I am a teacher at another school, but decided to keep my kids at Mountain Valley instead of taking them with me because I am so impressed with the curriculum and the staff.

I have been very happy with Mountain Valley Elementary. The teachers are fantastic and parent involvement is high. The STEM focus (science, technology, engineering, and math) is great for my boys. Some teachers put a greater emphasis on those areas than others, but so far I have been impressed by all of their efforts. The principal and other staff are very friendly and helpful. Nothing but good things to say about this school after being there for 3 years.
