This is our second year at KG and our daughter is thriving!! Our principal Ms LaBanca is very hands on and our PTA is very involved. Nothing but good experiences at KG. Clean, safe and great teachers.

Hidden gem as others gave mentioned. I’m very excited for my daughter to be in this school. Small classes, community feel and in a beautiful neighborhood.

KG is the hidden gem of YPS schools! My daughter has been here since 2015/2016 and she is thriving - now entering middle school. My youngest just finished PK and is entering K. The administration, teachers, staff & PTA are wonderful.

Abysmal. I had to transfer my son out of the school because of the lack of support, and sense of urgency behind academic rigor, leadership, and care for student development. I urge parents to ask questions, dig a little deeper, and don't settle for the tip of the iceberg being shown to you.

This school is a public school but feels like a private school. The principle Ms. White is a very hands on leader and that translates to the teachers as well, I have loved every minute of being in this school, my son is thriving and doing so good. I wouldn’t trade this school for anything.

5 stars isn't enough. This school amazing...taught by some of the best in the district and lead by the best principal in the district. The teachers are dedicated to their students and the learning environment. By far the best school in the district.

My son is thriving here at KG! He's been here for 3 years and we live nearby. this school has excellent staff led by a caring principal. Kahlil Gibran has a neighborhood feel to it and we have made wonderful friends. The "top 3 boutique" schools here are the only ones touted as being good. Our school truly is a hidden gem as another reviewer noted. We love it for so many reasons and I highly recommend it!

This school is a hidden gem in the Yonkers Public Schools. The teachers are outstanding and dedicated to their students. I have never met such an wonderful principal who truly cares about her school and the students.

KG is a wonderful, clean little elementary school located inside the beautiful Colonial Heights neighborhood. Everyone gets to know everybody there. The principal truly cares about the school and is very responsive to parents' concerns. The teachers and staff are great, too. Check out the most recent impressive test scores. The PTA is very dedicated to making the school the best place it can be for the kids. We love being part of the KG family.

We are part of the Gibran Family since my son began Kindergarten there. He is now in High school and we still are and always will be proud to be part of the Gibran Family. A small enough environment where kids feel safe and among friends. Filled with outstanding Teachers, Staff, PTA and a Principal who's priority is the kids.

The rating of this school is based on 2008 scores. Don't know why that is . Should be changed caused for the last five years this school has rocked !!!!! I guess some would consider this school the underdog ....fine with us. Other great feature is the PTA ....they work really hard for the students . I am happy with this school.

This school is a hidden gem. The school is small enough that everyone gets to know your child . The prinicpal is strict and extremely concern for the safety of your child . This school scored higher than some of the more talked about schools in 2013-2014 State exams ( check it out for yourself) . I have two children in this school and they love it .It's my neigborhood school and the campus is beautiful .

Nice clean school. Great English teacher for 7th and 8th grade. This teacher sets the bar very high for others to follow

Kahlil Gibran Should be getting a higher rating than a three! Compared to other schools Kahlil Gibran did very well on the New York State scores. I have three children invested in the school. Thus far we are very happy with the staff and administration. We have a strong PTA here. My children are happy. We look forward to a successful year ahead!

Some complaints regarding this school are due to the failing system, not the school/staff (eg. no academic support). Schools/YPS have responsibilities, but so do the parents. We also should only account for our own experiences not that of others for fear of inaccuracy. As we write these reviews, I hope we bear that in mind when writing them.

This school is great! The teachers are doing a great job! My daughter is very happy that she goes to this school. I hope the rating will go higher, because the school really deserves it!

We've been very pleased with the school. The dedicated staff makes all the difference. My daughter is quite happy there, has been there 2 years, and has excelled. Dedicated PTA also a big plus.
