My daughter has attended this school since pre-k - she is now in first and I only have great things to say about this school so far. The teachers and school staff are so helpful and committed to bringing each child to their full potential - they work with the students independently and in groups according to their progress. They actually care about their students and it shows. The school does many great things for the children. They have shows, activities, bake sales and other creative things for the children to partake in. I had an issue with a couple of older girls bullying my daughter (not in school but on the school bus) when my daughter was in pre-k and the school addressed and took care of the situation right away - they have a zero tolerance level. This school is a hidden gem with great teachers and staff.

I have 2 children that have been attending Dodson since Pre K and Kindergarten. Both of them have benefited from excellent teachers and administration. We have had opportunities to withdraw them from Dodson because of their past performance on state exams, but are so glad we did not jump ship. The guidance, education, and friendships my two have fostered at Robert C Dodson are invaluable. The afterschool programs, assemblies, parent teacher engagement activities, etc., all make Dodson one of the best schools in the community. The teachers always make themselves available. We are lucky to have them! My 8th grader is more than prepared for high school and my 7th grader is well on his way. Proud Dragon Mama and Papa

My daughter just graduated from Dodson and she had nothing but great things to say about the staff and students there. My son will be entering 2nd grade in September and he absolutely loves it as well. It is no longer a failing school and this is all due to the wonderful staff and principal.

The school is decrepit. Falling signs, peeling paint, cracking foundation and walkways, uncared for grounds and disgusting facilities. Also, the "expectation of failure" attitude from the staff. This school is failing and is on the chopping block. As an actively involved parent I do not see any other parents involvement. The only positive about this school is the Principle.
