I was a student at this school from k-4th grade before me and my family moved to Alaska and I just came onto this website to thank all of the staff that were there in my time and all those that helped me progress in my education.

We moved here from a small school in a different state and chose Willow Hill's zone so our son would stay in the same type of atmosphere, since he's a bit shy and finds it difficult to open up to new kids. He has blossomed at Willow Hill and has all but forgotten his old school. He knows every teacher's name and feels like the principal is someone he can approach with any concern he has. The school is very welcoming to students and families, from the principal to the administration to the teachers. Everyone is fantastic. I can't say enough good things about Willow Hill and the atmosphere they foster for their students. Our other son is at a larger elementary school in the district for a special program and, while I like his school and the events a larger budget allows, I don't feel like he gets the same family-like feeling that Willow Hill has, which also has its clear benefits.

Great school, professionally engaged teachers, and very effective, hands-on Principle. My son loves going to school, looking forward to every new school year.

The teachers and staff at this school are phenomenal. It has a smaller student population than the other school in the district, so it has more of a small community/family feel to it. The principal is well loved, and the teahers truly care about the students ands work hard to ensure they succeed. My children love Willow Hill. They have been both challenged and encouraged in the their academic growth, and have made some great friends too.

We brought our children into willow hill from a Christian school 5 years ago.We were very nervous about the transition. Today, we cannot even express what a great experience it has been for us and our children. Under the hands of the caring, experienced and insightful administration and staff at Willow Hill, our children has blossomed from shy kids into caring leaders with excellent performance, Both children were identified as gifted and offered in school and out of school programs to foster their abilities. One of the children has since moved on to the junior high where she continues to excel academically and as a leader. The teachers are very accessible and approachable and care for all the kids. I have learned this as I have listened to my children recount their daily experiences in the classroom. This year Willow Hill was recognized by the state distinguished school of excellence!

Willow Hill is surely one of the best kept secrets in Abington. Fantastic teachers and great kids!! Road to have one graduated now in Jr High and two still in Willow Hill.

We have the best teachers and staff. They are a great support for both students and parents.

My daughter had outstanding teachers at this school; the principal is wonderful, professional, and attended by a staff and PTO base that supports all of the students. We were saddened to leave this school when we had to move to accomodate a growing family. This school's test scores are rumored to be the best in the district.

The staff is caring, knowledgeable, patient, focused and student-community centered. The students are diverse, focused and respectful. There is up to date technology and resources that aid in fully preparing the young youth for Junior High and High School!

Words cannot express how happy I am with the high quality of education that my daughter, now in 2nd grade, is receiving at Willow Hill Elementary School which speaks volumes about this superb school staff. She has also been receiving enrichment/acceleration in Abington School District's Program for Excellence (APEX), Abington School District's mentally gifted program, since Kindergarten and she never complains about being bored in her classes; she's always enthusiastic about attending school. What can I say, the teachers, support staff, and administration are simply fantastic!! I am so proud to be a part of the Willow Hill School Family!! Soar, Hawks, Soar!!!

We moved to this area 2 years ago. I heard a lot about the Abington school district being amazing, but I was really nervous to see that my kids would be attending Willow Hill Elementary, based on the rating of 5 out of 10 on greatschools.org. My kids have had nothing but a fabulous experience at this school. The teachers are so personable and have left a lasting impression on my family! They are in tune to students' learning needs and will nurture those that need it and challenge the ones that need a challenge. The principal is very hands on with the kids and the kids all look forward to interacting with him! I love the school size and class size. My daughter's kindergarten class only had 17 kids, and they all became good friends. My son's 2nd grade class had 18 or 19 kids, so the small classroom sizes really help to enrich learning. We almost moved before starting school there this year, and I'm really glad we were able to stay. I'd really miss this staff of professionals, small class sizes, and the tight community of parents. Go Hawks!!!

Willow Hill Elementary is a great school where children can learn a variety of subjects, participate in many activities both inside and outside of the classroom, and the teachers and administrators really care about the growth and development of their students. (Willow Hill alum)

Many years ago I decided to move my children from the local parochial school to Willow Hill Elementary School. I was extremely nervous, as Willow Hill didn't have any the best reputation. Six years, three children later, I could not be happier with the education they are receiving, and I could not be more proud of their accomplishments. Their education and accomplishments would not be possible without the help and guidance of the outstanding teachers and staff at this wonderful school. Deciding to move my children to this school was one of the best decisions I have ever made!

Great school. Great teachers. Great principal. My oldest is getting ready to move onto the Jr High and will miss WH. His teachers care about his education and push him to do the best he can do (even when he tries to slack off). My middle loves WH...especially the math enrichment. Both of my children earn great grades and my oldest scored advanced on the PSSA...thanks to the dedicated and talented teachers! My youngest is excited to start K in September and I know he will be in good hands. I love the diversity of WH and the family feel of the school.

Willow Hill is such a wonderful school! The children are polite and respectful and most of these traits come from the continuing guidance from the awesome staff. We are a small family oriented. diverse school. I am on the PTO and I am very proud to represent our school! Go Hawks!

This is an amazing school! I have put 2 children through this school and could not have been happier. This is a small school with no more than 400 students. It is like a family! Both of my children thrived both academically and socially at Willow Hill. As I prepare for my youngest child to move to the Junior High, I am saddened knowing my families time at Willow Hill is over.

I'll be honest, I was skeptical about sending my daughter to the this school last year based on all the bad reviews that I read. However I could not be happier with the school. It surprised me that everyone knows your name and takes a genuine interest in the children. This includes volunteers, teachers and principle. It truly is a community school. The principle is very receptive to issues/concerns and works with parents/staff to come up with solutions. There are several programs available for slower and advanced kids. A lot of them are offered right at the elem school itself, for others the kids are bused to the appropriate school and back. The teachers take genuine interest in their kids and seem to truely love their jobs. I am excited to send my next year as well.
