Unfortunately, I'm forced to leave a rating in order to post a comment. I chose a 5 even though I know nothing about this school.I'm the parent of a boy with special needs who will be turning 5 and so starting kindergarten in the fall. We will be moving to this area and I'm trying to choose from among a few neighboring districts. My #1 criteria will be what they have to offer a child like mine (whose disabilities are relatively mild) for the next 13 years.I've talked to one district Special Ed director and of course she says her district is the best--and it occurred to me they will all say that. How do I choose?I see the comment posted below from September 2012, that this might actually be the WRONG school district for us. It sounds like they're saying that only the extremely impaired get services covered, but I'm not sure.I wish I knew where to go to ask about this.

Overall, a great school w/ very involved parents and teachers. My only big complaint is that the school district's Special Education dept. does appear to be interested in helping your child get support they need unless they are extremely impaired. If your child is barely hanging on...won't get support. Be prepared to pay out of pocket for ANY additional services your child may need if they are struggling.

We had a difficult time as the new kid, but with the teacher, principal and guidance counselor help our son now is having a wonderful school year.
