Our son has special needs has been through many schools during his elementary school years. He is excelling at Copper Beech and happy to go to school for the first time. He loves all of his teachers, but his special ed teachers are especially caring and involved in his education. He had a bullying incident at one point. We weren't happy at all with how the school dealt with it (we weren't made aware of it until we saw injuries and asked), but they did respond in a way that was fair to both our son and the bully once we confronted them. We do feel like parents could be a bit more involved in the classroom. Our other son goes to a different school in Abington and parents are invited to help with parties and activities, but I've never received this type of invitation from Copper Beech. It would be nice if parents could be more involved with celebrations during school rather than just fundraisers after school.

This is an amazing school. There's barely any bullying, students grow smarter quickly, and there are also tons of students in each class meaning you can make a whole bunch of friends. They are also very strict about the whole COVID pandemic right now, they have a good schedule (at least for me, oh also for anyone who is wondering, most schedules are like this: Math, ELA, Lunch, Recess, ELA, Social Studies or Science depending on what they did yesterday, Packup, Go Home)The teachers at Copper Beech are kind and understanding, but still teach children fast and efficiently. This school is amazing. Next year I'll be gone from that school sadly, I'm going into 6th grade next year, and on the year of posting this, the junior high has built a 6th grade hall so the 5th graders and 6th graders will be graduating together, so I won't be going to Copper Beech for 6th grade. This year the 6th graders are still in but next year, kids from 5th grade will be going into middle school.I'm very sad an anxious.Also...aren't junior high and middle school the same exact thing?

We love Copper Beech. Teachers and staff are amazing. Always open communication with parents. They take great pride in the school and the education they provide and it shows.

My child's teacher was replaced twice. Both in 2nd grade and in 3rd grade. The replacements were not effective or experienced to teach. One of the teachers bullied my child and CB having knowledge of this continues to employee this "teacher". Posts all over the school about anti-bullying and yet they continue to allow this bully to mess with children's self esteem and confidence. If your child happens to be African American or Latino please pay extra attention to how they treat your child. There is a reason they pick on them the most. So they can't score well on test and advance. Ask questions and continue to be diligent in your child's education. You are the voice and you should be heard and respected. Best of luck and keep your head up!

I have two children in Copperbeach, both of them have excelled. Couldn't be happier as a parent!
