Play and Learn only cares about making money. They have compromised children's safety and well being. They are eliminating play space so they can make room for more infants and generate more revenue and do not take parents concerns seriously. The only saving grace is the wonderful teachers but even they are being worn down by poor management. Stay away!

This center is excellent! My three year has been attending school here for two years and is already reading. The center director Rukiya Davis is excellent....often seen visiting classrooms and interacting with students and parents. The facilities security features also make for a very secure feel when leaving my child for the day.

The "community" students pay higher tuition than Abington Hospital employes, but receive less services. For example, the school has been closed, on several occasions, to students whose parents do not work for the hospital- while remaining open for AH children. Between the tuition/ fees and impersonal treatment by teachers, I no longer feel that this place is a gem. We took the hint and we're shopping around.

I have to agree with the review that the director is unprofessional and very poor in communicating with the parents. Ratios are often off and there is a high turnover of the quality teachers because of lack of support. They do not encourage communication amongst the parents, in fact I feel it is looked down upon. It is one of the better centers in the area but has lots of room for improvement and needs better leadership.

I love Play and Learn. My daughter has grown so much during her time at the school. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a daycare. I have always been able to go to work with the complete peace of mind that my daughter is in good hands.
