This school district is not for the faint of heart!!!! Be prepared!!! Before moving to this district understand that your child will have significantly more homework then any School in the area, they will have 2-3 tests every week, very high expectations and little tolerance for lateness or laziness. Also, parents are expected to help kids with their work. For the most part criticism and praise for this school is identical and depends on how the child responded to the schools requirements. Some kids thrive and for some this is the wrong school district. If you have a child with disability this school is as good as I have seen. Our child, who is visually impaired, is thriving due to the support of the staff and teachers. Although they do provide any needed accommodations they do not dumb things down or baby them. Don't expect cuddling and teachers praising them for keeping up.

My 3 kids went through Sandy Run. The teachers are great and there is a brand new building opening this year that is going to have great technology for the students

During the pandemic Sandy Run has been great! Sandy Run along with the UD school district and teachers were very helpful with keeping our middle school children engaged and consistently active while our children were still virtual. They have an available website for all parents and students to view assignments, grades and follow announcements and upcoming events. My child and many other sandy run students I have spoken with were extremely happy to be back to school full time and had nothing but great and wonderful things to say about their teachers!

It’s been awful, but only because of leadership. There are some great teachers, but a school is only as good as it’s leadership.

This school is the ugly step child of Upper Dublin schools. The elementary and high schools are very good. I think this is where the lowest performing teachers are sent. My daughter received a study guide that said Bonn was the capital of Germany! How about giving the kids some information that is not decades old. My daughter pointed this out to the teacher and instead of being appalled, the teacher dismissed her. If this was an isolated incident, I would not be concerned, but seems to be all to common in this school.
