The school is highly overrated. It prides itself on exclusion and look down on parents, students, teachers from outside their snobby cliques. The manner in which some parents are so unkind is off putting- that is until they request sizeable donations or career connections. Some parents harass, troll and outright insult your family at the same time they demand favors for their own. Not a nice community.

The teachers are outstanding, every year they are better than the last. They challenge each child according to their individual needs. They maintain great communication with parents letting them know their child's strengths and weaknesses. Everything the school does is top quality- from the gala which is like a barmitzvah, to the Young Writers Workshop, school play, Israel Day celebrations, tefillah services to name a few. But special mention has to be made to probably the most special of all, the grade assemblies that the kids participate in because every parents leaves this event knowing that sending their kid to Schechter was the best investment they ever made in their child's future. Behind each of these wonderful events is a very active hardworking teaching and rabbinic staff, PTO and development office highly dedicated to making each event memorable and special. Also very worthy of mention is the school's afterschool curriculum which is very diverse offering activities to appeal to all tastes ranging from learning magic tricks to cooking to karate to basketball to name just a few. I just wish I had the chance to attend Schechter when I was a child. I hope when my children grow up and have gone to good colleges, have great careers, good friends from their school days and lead happy fulfilling jewish lives that they appreciate how indebted they are to Schechter.

This school is the best academic Jewish day school. It has a caring environment, and is truly a Kehilah.

My son is a student at Schechter. The level of secular and Hebrew education is extremely high. I also love the character-building aspect of the school. My son is an extremely respectful responsible young boy. And I attribute alot of that to Schechter.
