  MAS is a wonderful elementary school.. a hidden gem in westchester. This is my family's 6th year at MAS and we could not be happier. The administration focuses on shaping the whole child, not just academics. They teach them to be good friends and good citizens, to love sports and other activities and also prepare them for middle school. We are so blessed to be a part of this terrific community!

  My son just graduated and I was sad to see him to leave. It is such a warm, nurturing environment. The culture at MAS is wonderful.

  My daughter completed her kindergarten year and will be starting first grade shortly. She had an amazing introduction to school -- her teachers made learning so much fun and challenged her without her realizing it. She made many strong and lasting friendships, while learning to be a kind and inclusive friend -- values the school holds highly and instills in all the students. The PTA is a dynamic and enthusiastic organization--a fabulous and welcoming group of parents who want the best for their children and the district. We are so happy to be a part of MAS Nation!

  10/10. I love MAS. It is exactly what I wanted for my children. The school works to foster love of learning and good citizenship. The community is diverse and open to all. My family always feels welcome. My kids love to go to school everyday. What more would I want from an elementary school?

  Mamaroneck Avenue School is the embodiment of what elementary school should be, and more. The school achieves its academic mission not only by providing excellent instruction, but by making the students want to learn. It is obvious at this school that parents, faculty and administration are all committed to their shared mission of educating, smart, kind and compassionate students who are as eager to learn each day as they are to share their newfound knowledge with their classmates and the community at large, and work towards achieving that mission collaboratively and without ego, as they all realize that the children, rather than their particular job or sphere of influence, are the priority. My experience at this school has been nothing but exemplary.

  We adore MAS! Its a very strong community filled with pride and warmth. Don't be fooled by those silly test scores, this is a top notch public school and the most special place you will ever be blessed enough to see. The principal and Asst Principal know every child's name, the teachers are amazing and the PTA is very active and so welcoming. As a new family with a Kindergartener last year, we could not have been happier!!

  MAS has a warm and welcoming environment. Both students and their families become members of a very strong community which in turn supports children's academic success. I couldn't be happier with our experience at this school, my daughter is extremely happy and comfortable. She is preforming above grade level in reading and math and she excited for the new school year to start.

  We feel very fortunate to have our children at MAS. The administration and staff are completely dedicated to the well being of children. They care about the academic, social and emotional needs of children equally which is what I believe makes it such a special school environment and community.

  MAS is a fabulous environment for children to learn. Administration and teachers are caring and awesome. Everyone is involved in your child's development. Daily words or phrases of encouragement from Mr. J. inspire children. I have a 5th grader and he doesn't want to leave his school, not say the district. We love White Plains Schools

  Amazing community! The administration and teachers are so caring and wonderful. There is tremendous parent involvement and they are a lovely group of people. We are truly blessed to be a part of MAS!

  I love this school, I went to this school and wanted my children to experience all the positivity, care and excellent education that they have all ways have provided. I love that Mr. Janowitz always begins the school with powerful words of encouragement and also I stills in the students to be kind to one another. Now a days people are losing that and it's great to see kindness is a priority here and no bullying. I wish this school went up to 8th grade, my 3 boys love this school

  The teachers are all great. They keep the parents in the loop with everything that's going on. It's a nurturing environment and my daughter looks forward to school every day. They over a variety of wonderful programs as well.

  We have been thrilled with the dedication and professionalism of all the teachers our children have had at MAS. Our children receive many individual education opportunities in a warm and nurturing environment. The PTA has organized afternoon language classes and additional science and chess classes during lunch hours. My children have excelled at MAS. The school administration is phenomenal. The PTA is extremely involved and committed to supporting all the children in the community. We love MAS and are very happy with the White Plains school district.

  great teachers , carrying nourishing atmosphere for children i do not have anything negative to say my kids are thriving
