I cannot say enough good things about this school. This is our second year at RNSK. When we came, we had been traumatized by experiences at my son’s prior special ed preschool and were somewhat wary. His communication at the time was limited, he avoided peers, and he struggled with sensory challenges that kept him from engaging independently in his day. We had been told he couldn’t succeed in a general education school. I'm so glad we ignored this. We came to RNSK and he blossomed. Our fears of his inability to enjoy a gen ed environment evaporated overnight with the support in this school. The staff is incredibly competent and credentialed, but more importantly, they work as a team to get to know and support each specific child. My son was thoughtfully placed in a structured class with an expert special educator. Practice was never forced—he had options and autonomy, and when he was ready to branch out from preferred activities, he tried (and loved) new things. With a class of 14 students and 3 teachers (an unheard of ratio), he always had access to a skilled adult. Additionally, RNSK hosts dedicated CPSE service providers like a SEIT, an SLP, OT, and PT, so getting his services was a breeze. The compassionate team communicated regularly amongst themselves and with our family, becoming partners in his development. By the end of our first year, my kid was unrecognizable from his first day. His language and adaptive skills exploded, and he became eager to engage. At home, he talks about his teachers, friends, and even the administrative and custodial staff, evidence of a community where he is safe and connected. He used to avoid fine motor practice, but now he comes home excited to share the work he did at school, eagerly checking for homework. He has great friends, playdates abound, and he is no longer content to go to the local playground unless I first check to see who else is available to meet us. I still cry at parent-teacher conferences, hearing about my little boy doing things I was told at his previous school that he may never do. The rest of the community is similarly amazing. Administration is warm, responsive, and curious. Policies are made thoughtfully, student-wellbeing always central. The building is immaculate and cheerful; evidence of student joy is crammed into every square inch of space. You literally cannot make a better choice for your kids than RNSK. Our entire family is better for the time we've spent in this incredible community.

While we are saddened to remove our daughter from friends and families she has grown close to over the years, our recent experience with the administration and members of the faculty has demonstrated how unfit their program is to educate, protect, and nurture the young minds within their walls.  I am appalled by the way in which I was spoken to on multiple occasions with both Directors. I hope this review prevents at least one family from my horrible experience. Do not let them pull the wool over your eyes. The school is based on nepotism and inexperienced superficial administrators.

Excellent! It is highly professional. It is supportive of the children and their families. Staff are extremely qualified and caring; always allowing for the individuality of each student as well as their families.

It’s sad to see that the school is not like what parents used to describe. The school has lots of recourses. There are heaps of fun activities from PTO. Biblical teaching is also included in the curriculum ( I’m a Christian and so I don’t have any problems with that). However they are very superficial. They put more effort into doing gimmicks to please certain parents( so that they can do a false advertisement about the school) than really nurturing the children. They use “one size fits all “ teaching approach. If you have a child who doesn’t sit still, if you have a child who’s developmentally delayed or if you have a child with special needs, you should consider other schools. The school will not go the extra mile to help assimilate your kid into the class. The teachers and staff were very inexperienced and not very welcoming. I don’t feel like the school is partnering with me at all as a parent.... Very poor communication between teachers and parents. I don’t think focusing on religion is the reason Ridgeway is not like what it used be. Nepotism, hiring inexperienced teachers and forgetting about creating a welcoming and nurturing environment for every single child are the main reasons.

This is what our child's kindergarten teacher told us "Sadly the quality of Ridgeway Nursery is nothing like it used to be when it was under the previous administration." Needless to say our child was not at all prepared for kindergarten. Tremendously disappointed.

This school is a great start for any child. The director, the admin staff and teachers all care about the education and welfare of the children. Both my children have been a part of the Ridgeway program and I was thoroughly impressed.
