Bullying is out of hand and nobody has any respect for anyone else. The staff sit and watch the kids get bullied and don’t do anything plus Harrison high school says they have a no bullying policy but if the kids that get bullied fight back they get in trouble but the bully’s don’t do anything. I don’t recommend going to this school.

Harrison High School has been great for both my children who are completely different learners. My older daughter went through the rigorous IB program and was very prepared for college. My younger daughter needs accommodations and the services at both the middle school and high school have helped her be successful as well. She's will also be prepared for college. Both found extra-curricular activities that they loved participating in. Administrators are available to parents to discuss issues. I haven't always been told what I wanted to hear, but they have always been fair.

Great IB program. It's tough and the colleges know it. 4 ED into Cornell and 4 ED into Penn this fall. Georgetown, Harvard... the only school missing is Princeton. Lots go to Michigan. Parents are involved and so are the kids. One of the highest IB success rates in the country.

Not a place for the student with learning disabilitiesthe proof is in the pudding- the big league folks on the PTA and school board all send their LD kids elsewhere! Then there's the rest of us who don't have the $ to pay for private school or to tuition them to better public high schools whose kids have to deal with virtually no support, no help with the college admissions process, and exclusion classes.!

Graduating in 2001, HHS afforded me the opportunity to go to a great college and wind up in a prestigious firm thereafter. The amount of AP classes transferred into college credits being waived, saving money and time and allowing me to focus on my major instead of liberal art core classes. Harrison is a great town as is their school system. The teachers are committed to their students and so long as kids are committed to their schoolwork, they are rewarded. It’s a safe school and I have no problems sending my children through the same curriculum that has served as the basis for my rewarding post-academia career.

This school is getting kids in to all the Ivy's and all the top colleges nationwide. Stanford, Northwestern, Vanderbilt to name a few. This school offers AP and IB classes and most of the students are in the Ap and IB classes. The debate club is award winning, The Band and athletic program are outstanding. I think the rating system that steers people to two or three towns is very misguided and therefore makes Harrison a great place to purchase a home, live in a wonderful community, is close to the city and and gives you the option to use the public schools.

I graduated from Harrison high school in 2000. Back then I was taught all I needed to pass. However going to college I failed a lot. Being told constantly you will never be anything also helped. Now in 2014 I will be graduating with a masters degree. In the end I learned nothing for the future from Harrison. Because in 96-2000 it was all about football. I believe we suffered because of this. I don't know about now only from then. Though I will always love Harrison. My future begins when I graduated.

Harrison High School IB program is highly respected by all colleges and universitites. Great school with strong academics which include community service. Great school and community!

I give this school one star because it's the lowest score I can possible give on here. My guidance counselor put me in a remedial English class in the middle of the school year Because I was so reserved at school. I realize now my English teacher assumed I was unable to understand the curriculum. Instead of discussing with me where the problem lay the decision was just made for me. Even after the teacher in the remedial class realized I had no trouble at all I was left in there.

This seriously was the worst school ever. I applied to selective colleges, and the guidance counselor did not let me know that I was applying to 3 of the same colleges as the valedictorian: I got into one. The guidance counselor also failed to inform me that a student was received early decision to another college I applied to. What a terrible system. Avoid this school at all costs if you are considering moving to a community in Westchester. Do not move to Harrison, and help contribute to inflated administration salaries.
