My son attends WEGO and requires additional support. We have had an excellent experience through his first 2 years. Excellent and caring faculty.

the first semester of my freshman year was good. i made new friends, but those friends we're not nice and friendly from this society from this school. the second semester was horrible! the fake friends i had spread untrue rumors about me. my teachers and my counseler did not help at all, they gave me advice to "ignore them" and that's all. i also got in a serious situation that was terrifying for me and my parents came to talk to the principal about transfering me to another school and they refused say that it wasn't a "serious issue" since then ive been terrified to walk in this school. my sophomore year my social worker asked me if i had any problems this year and i refused to tell her because i already know that they won't be able to help me out. i always ended up saying "im fine" or "no i don't need any help" and i just went on with my day all scared and alone.

I received a lot of stress my freshman year with lots of homework. The load was unbearable and I honestly feel like there is not enough free time for students. Me and my peers were really disengaged and felt like learning was boring, except for a few exceptions of people. I like the cafeteria and the clubs, people are friendly and I like the community but there are too many things that need to be worked on to make everyone love this school and learning.

My whole family and I attended this school and had an overall great experience. Students are respected, treated fairly, and supported while still being challenged and held accountable. It is a top choice for my own children when they reach that age. While I was admittedly not the most diligent student in H.S., I went on to excel in college and graduate school though completion of my doctorate. The foundation from Community H.S. was that strong even for a student not applying full effort.

Both of my kids graduated from this school. While I am not a fan of the administration the teachers are wonderful and really care about the kids. Both of my kids have gone on to college and are graduating soon. They were both in the AP courses which really helped them prepare for a higher education. There are so many great teachers at this school and a lot of variety in extra curricular activities. There is something for everyone. I am so thankful my kids were able too attend such a great school

this school is terrific in my opinion they have given my daughter the attention, and the help she never received in the city of chicago school whether it was public, magnet, or charter. So thumbs up to West Chicago community H.S. and its teachers, counselors, and social workers who do a great job! THANKS

A gem of the West Suburbs! This school is great. Caring, knowledgeable teachers. Adminstration that seems to have a clear vision and high expectations. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her freshman year. The school has a bad reputation due to its diversity, but that's really its asset. There are no gang issues. Celebrate the diversity!

In my opinion, this school rates unsatisfactory. I have also had problems getting return calls and when I come in to talk to a live person, no one seems to be available to see me. I've had a few complaints with the administration there but they only tell you what you want to hear and send you on your way. Nothing ever gets taken care of after you leave. My son who graduates this year also talks about some questionable behaviors between some staff members there. Not very professional for a school that is supposed to lead by example. That makes me uneasy and uncomfortable. If that is true and it's allowed, I would recommend to be a very cautious parent when sending your kids to school there. You would be surprised to see just how much your kids see and hear in that school. Talk to your kids frequently because drugs and gangs are a primary concern there too. If it wasn't for the extra curriculars and us as parents being on his case all the time, I think we would have easily lost him there. We are all very happy to see him graduate and move on.

Horrible the teachers and consolers do not return phone calls. You have to fight for help for your student.
