My son has been at West going on 2 years now and they have done an amazing job with my son. He has done so well and has come so far in the 2 years he has been there. I feel blessed to have the teachers, principal and the vice principal. I appreciate each one of them. I have told them many times. West does have an wonderful program for children with special needs. I rate this school a 10.

Washington west elementary is a terrible school for kids with special needs. The principle is horrible and they do not follow IEP's. Move somewhere else if you can. My kid has come home with bruises. I have pictures.

Teachers don't work with the parents or students. My child's teacher told me the problem was his attitude and not the fact that he has an IEP. ( This was the special education teacher) Very disappointing. If your child has ANY issues, take them to South Point instead. This was a wasted year of him learning nothing. I even tried to get in touch with one of the teachers about questions on an assignment and was ignored.
