Campbellton Elementary is a wonderful family oriented small school where students get the individual help that they need to be successful. PBS (Positive Behavior Supports) was just implemented during the 2014-15 school year. Prior to this year PBS was implemented in other School District of Washington Schools, but not at Campbellton.

I would rate Campbellton has average, it does not have a strong principal in fact there is no communication between the school/principal and the parents and the principal is not proactive with the PBS (Positive Behavior Support) system that is supposed to be in place with in the school and quite frankly can be rude and cold. There is also lack of communication between teacher/parents regarding the weekly happenings and assignments in the primary classroom as well as the "special" classes of gym, art, music and computers. The School District of Washington has a website with the availibilty for all district wide employees to post a weekly newsletter or a classroom website for current activities and unfortunately this website is not utilized enough by teachers and other employees who could possibly reach others and save on paper.

I love this school! The school is small and kids get a lot of individual attention from the teachers. The community is wonderful and gets along great. It is very supportive of the school.
