WHS has always had a severe bullying problem, my parents generation, my generation and now my daughter’s one. It’s not typical “kids being kids” but an outright culture that tolerates and encourages abusive behavior towards the out group. Children are bullied relentlessly if they are not “jocks” or “popular townies from 5th Street elementary”. The teachers and staff instead of providing support for the abused children ignore it, for generations it’s always the same family’s in positions of status or disadvantage, and they’re all locals. If you enter this school as an outsider (non-local) or even from the countryside areas of the district you will never be allowed to fit in, nepotism is they way of life and don’t think that just because your child is the better football player they will make first string: that goes to legacy kids even if they aren’t in condition to play. Less popular kids get beat up daily and it’s entirely ignored even when it happens in front of the office, but the moment that less popular kids hits back in self defense he or she is suspended immediately. Lockers are repeatedly broken in to, items smashed or stolen, and it seems a tradition to decorate unpopular guys lockers with homoerotic photos… it’s hell on earth unless you are a local townie jock… basically anyone who isn’t a jock is treated like those in a 1980’s nerds movie.Girls get sexually harassed, their bras snapped repeatedly in class by the jocks who laugh and laugh, teachers entirely ignoring their plights. Many girls bring spare bras because they end up getting broke during the day. And jerking down someone’s pants to the floor to expose and embarrass them is commonplace.Drug use likewise has always been a serious issue, from smoking down by the bridge or in the toilet. It’s obvious, it’s open and it’s ignored.

This high school has been largely disappointing. The teachers just don't pay attention to what the kids are doing. They have so little supervision. My son was bullied so bad he just refused to go to high school, we decided it was not safe for him to be there and proceeded to home school him. It is a waste of tax payers money!

I was not too happy with this school. I myself, go to the school. The teachers never really seem to care what students do, and that is a major factor to controlling a school. Also, if you have a bullying problem or school problem, the school will simply tell you to leave and figure it out on your own. One thing that is insanely bad about this school is racism, drugs, and constant cussing. Washington has great sports and athletics, but they have terrible education supply along with a rude community. I fully recommend Borgia over this school.
