Augusta Elementary is the best place for a child to learn and grow. ALL of the staff members are so kind and loving; they truly care about each and every one of the students. The small size of the student body makes Augusta Elementary feel more like a community and less like the grind of other school buildings. Every time I visit the campus I see smiling students, teachers, AND support staff. Also, their student success level is higher than so many other area schools. They have figured out how to combine joy and learning so that their students mature into well rounded, thoughtful, and intelligent young ladies and gentlemen. I cannot imagine any other school I would rather have my child attend than Augusta Elementary.

Moved into the district SPECIFICALLY for this school! We lived in a nearby school district and because the elementary school where my daughter WOULD have gone has over 350 students, we felt she'd get lost in the shuffle. I am so glad we decided to move into the Washington School District, so that she could attend Augusta Elementary. The teachers and staff perform with excellence, and go above and beyond to ensure that each child has the best learning environment possible. Parent involvement is strongly encouraged and supported. Average class size is perfect. A focus on student behavior, such as (R)esponsibility, (O)wnership, (C)ommitment, and (K)indness is the foundation that prepares them to transition to middle school, high school, and beyond. Do you R.O.C.K.??? What an outstanding platform to teach our kids!

Best elementary school in the area. With K-6, there's still only 125 kids in the school. The classes are small, the teachers are amazing, and the administration makes a concentrated effort to make this school a community - a family - for the kids there. The atmosphere is like nothing I've ever seen in today's school systems. It's caring, safe, focused on the individual child, and absolutely wonderful. And to top it off, the supporting staff - secretaries, food service, janitors - are so warm and wonderful to the students there. I am so happy my family is part of this school!

We specifically moved for our son to go to Augusta Elementary, and could not be happier with the decision. Since then, our daughter has also started at Augusta. The teachers there are amazing. They get to know the individual children, which is easy when they only have 20 or so students throughout the year. My kids are both accelerated learners, and the teachers not only challenge them, but make sure they are comfortable in their own skin. I think the best part about this school is that the kids there interact between grades so well. They have a "buddy program" that allows the older kids to act as mentors/buddies for the younger kids. The school seems to get stronger every year, and you can tell the kids love it there. I'm so happy we made the move to be at Augusta. Nothing is more important to us than the caring foundation we can provide for our children.
