I have interacted with some absolutely wonderful teachers there, but some have been horrendous. Overall all, I believe it is below par.

Truman is all about engaging the students and helping them with appropriate conduct and responsibility. Curriculum is taken seriously and all students are encouraged to do their best!

My child attended Truman for two years and will be back for 3rd grade. We are so very excited and cannot wait to be a part of this school once more. The wonderful teachers and staff make you feel so welcomed every day. I would recommend this school to anyone. I have been very satisfied with Truman.

At first when my son started Truman Elementary, I was impressed. But there was also a different principal there. Now the principal seems very impersonal; almost as if she needs to be teaching high school or college. There is a big bully problem going on at that school as well. The principal and teachers make a big deal out of not bulleying, but when it comes down to it, 99% of them, including the principal, do not do anything about it. Also, my children have come home plenty of times with a ton of homework (nightly), but are not quite sure on how to do it. The school seems to care about the kids learning when it comes to MAP testing, or some big test they want to cram down their throats so the school can get a good grade.
