Riverbend is a wonder school with an experienced staff. The building is beautiful and inviting. A hidden gem in near St. Louis.

I recently met with the principle and had my questions regarding next years enrollment answered and i feel very confident this will be a good school for my son. There are various sports he can choose from and sport camps are starting soon. This is a nice modern school. The kids seem very polite.

We are not impressed with this school in the MVR3 district or the district itself. Bullying physical, mental and emotional and foul language runs rampant. The bullies are rarely caught and if they are caught they lie their way out of it. The staff is very slow to respond to questions asked by the parent(s) and slow to cooperate with the parent(s) but expect the parent(s) to respond immediately. I rate this as a zero even though a star has to be selected and do feel children are safe here. The kids seem to think the way to solve issues is to physically bully someone - who teaches their kid that????

My rating is zero but they make you pick a star I prersonally do not believe my child is safe there and plan to leave the district. There are several internal issues there I believe need to be addressed.

My experiences with Riverbend are confirmed by the comments I hear from other parents: Riverbend provides one of the best years in a student's life (the school only serves 8th-grade students). The teachers are outstanding. The principal makes it clear to everyone that students are the priority. For such a small school and staff, they provide an abundance of clubs and activities. The academic portion, I believe, grows stronger each year. In the public school system, it just doesn't get any better than Riverbend.
