Our daughter loves going to school each day...we couldn't be happier or more thankful for the teachers and staff at Sonrise!

Before enrolling your children at this school, make sure you make several visits to make sure this is the environment you want your children in. At first I really liked the school. Vivien is very accommodating but you really do get what you pay for. In the 3-4 year old class all they ever do is color photo copies of letters. My child would come home with an art project about twice a month. In my opinion they enroll more children then they have the staff for and the staff in constantly changing. They do not introduce the new staff nor does the new staff make it a point to introduce themselves to the parents. My child was constantly coming home with deep bite marks on his body because there is only one teacher to watch anywhere from 10-12 two year olds. I know there are worse environments out there so I just urge parents to really research this school and make drop in visits and if something does not feel right, follow your gut instincts.

Both of my children have attended Sonrise Preschool. My older child has already moved on to elementary school. but my younger child still attends. Our children have been well taken care by the staff since they were infants. My older child, who is now in second grade, was well prepared by his Kindergarten teacher at Sonrise. My son and his classmates (as far I know) all left Sonrise knowing all their sounds and alphabet, as well as math concepts appropriate to their age. Most importantly, they were reading! I have had few concerns over the years. My biggest concern being staff turnover. Although some of the veteran teachers (and teachers related to the family owners) there have been there a long time, the younger teachers (and less tenured teachers) seem to come and go. I would agree with the other reviews that the rubber chips do get my children's socks and shoes dirty, but I prefer this to the sand and dirt they had before. Their tuition is relatively inexpensive. Also, they provide snacks and lunch (as well as food for infants). As with any daycare, I highly recommend that you visit Sonrise and interview their staff before making a decision. This may be a great fit for you.

My kids go to Sonrise and I have yet to feel like they're not comfortable or cared for there. The black rubber chips are of minimal concern - they're kids; they're going to get a little dingy and dirty. I would just request for a little more challenge in the academics department. Otherwise, I rate the school as a good school overall. Grace, Maggie, and Olga are a tremendous asset to the school.

the rooms were a bit dark and and unkept. the infant room had all the cribs crammed into the entry way, which seemed a little disconcerting. Everyone seemed really nice and I'm sure they were great with all the kids, the facility just seemed a little dank and depressed
