We came to this school reluctantly since our journey within public schooling left A LOT to be desired. A new program opened up on this campus and the district thought it would be a good fit. We started the school year very hesitantly but finished the year with a renewed sense of faith in public schools. The sense of community among the staff, kids, and families is immense. The teachers truly enjoy their jobs and it reflects in the attitudes of the kiddos, including mine. The social-emotional education that they are receiving is inclusive and amazing. The special education department is top-notch. The team actively seeks to work with families in making sure that kiddos have the right support in place to be successful. It doesn't feel like a huge fight every IEP meeting and that is a breath of fresh air. We just love it here.

My two of my three children are currently enrolled at Hunters Glen (the third will go in a few years), and I couldn't be happier with the experience! The teachers at Hunters Glen are truly amazing. They are not only knowledgeable about the subjects they teach, but they also go above and beyond to make connections with their students and our family. My children have flourished under their guidance, and I am impressed by the dedication and passion they bring to their classrooms every day.One of the things that sets Hunters Glen apart from other elementary buildings is its Gifted and Talented (GT) programming. The school recognizes and nurtures the unique strengths and abilities of its gifted students, providing them with enriching opportunities to challenge themselves academically and explore their interests. My oldest child has benefited greatly from this program, and I am grateful for the school's commitment to meeting the needs of all learners. He looks forward to his small group time with the GT advocate and has been so excited to share what he is working on!Hunters Glen also places a strong emphasis on social-emotional development. The school recognizes that a child's well-being goes beyond their academic achievements, and actively promotes emotional intelligence, empathy, and resilience in its students. I have noticed how my children have grown in terms of their social skills and emotional maturity, and I am grateful for the school's holistic approach to education. They receive weekly SEL lessons and the school's Social Emotional Learning Specialist has been a great resource for my son.Lastly, the sense of community Hunters Glen is truly special. The school fosters a warm and inclusive environment where students, teachers, and parents work together as a team. There are numerous opportunities for parent involvement, and I have felt welcomed and supported by both the faculty and other families. We truly feel connected. Hunters Glen feels like home!Overall, I highly recommend Hunters Glen for its amazing teachers, GT programming, social-emotional focus, and strong sense of community. My children have had an incredibly positive experience at this school, and I am grateful for the impact it has had on their education and personal growth.

This is a great school that really strives to build community among the students and their families and implements research-/evidence-based learning in the classroom. The teachers and administrators are fantastic! They are motivated and caring individuals who put inclusion and learning at the forefront.

Both my kids are currently enrolled at Hunter's Glen! The teachers are fantastic and they really strive to make sure your student is where they need to be academically! They are also very caring and attentive to the child as a whole! They are also very good at taking quick and appropriate steps towards bullying and educating the children how to appropriately handle bullying situations. I would definitely recommend sending your child here!

We didn't have any negative experience during my childrens' time at Hunters Glen. The teachers are thoughtful, interactive and compassionate. They work hard to make the classes work for each student's strengths and weaknesses. My daughter loved her elementary school experience so much that she is currently volunteering there two mornings a week for her 8th grade project and is considering a career in education. The principal is quiet but does a good job and is very caring. Support staff is friendly and helpful. It's an older school and could use some updates but what the school lacks in modern amenities, it makes up for in the education and well-being of its students

We have two kids at Hunters Glen Elementary and really like it. We live in the neighborhood and wanted our kids to attend the neighborhood school. We're so pleased with that decision. We have only had positive experiences with the teachers and our kids are thriving. My husband and I made it a point to get involved with the school activities and we volunteer in their classrooms every once in a while. It's really helped to get involved. I feel like we've been able to watch the staff and principle work towards the best they school can offer. I also really enjoy the welcoming feeling at the school. We are happy with our experience. Thanks Hunters Glen Elementary.

I recently withdrew my children from Hunters Glen for several reasons. 1.) My son's teacher was a portrait of discouragement. She was constantly telling me of all the ways he didn't fit the mold and went into a lengthy tirade to my husband IN FRONT OF MY SON about all the many ways he was failing as a student. 2.) The principal doesn't seem to like children. This is a problem if you are a principal of an elementary school. 3.) Common Core is ruining how kids learn math, and when my son's teacher explained how they now teach math, and even I couldn't understand, I'm not sure what hope there is for my son. We switched over to a charter school that does not teach the Common Core curriculum. 4.) My once-energetic, constantly-happy kindergartner completely lost his sparkle the minute he started at Hunters Glen. The minute we pulled them out, he was back to his happy self. 5.) My kids would cry every morning, beg me not to go to school, and even feign illness to get out of going to school. Now, my kids love school, this is not like them. Again, since we switched them to a charter school, they are happy, excited about learning, and never ever ask me to miss school.

Hunters Glen has been a great school for many years...the last year however have been a struggle. The new principle is nice, but he doesn't seem to connect with anyone, teachers, students or parents. I believe he was brought into the school to increase outcomes and create a cohesive school, which I don't think has happened. While I think both my kids recieved an adequate education and they are prepared for Middle School, I believe the school has gone down hill. Our last teacher was not good and unfortunately created a situation where our whole family couldn't wait to be done with 5th grade. It is really to bad.

Awesome school! Great teachers and staff. We have been in this school for 3 years now and my boys love it. The teaching standards are superb. Both of my boys struggle with reading and writing and they have received excellent assistence from teachers. Highly recommended. Great principal who truly tries to make a difference.
