We love the teachers, the environment, and the community at this school. It’s a wonderful place to send your children.

My son attended K, 1st, and now he is in 2nd grade at Sylvan. We will be relocating out-of-state in a few weeks. I have had a very positive experience at this school. My son is always very excited to go to school and he is proud of being a "Bobcat" (the school's mascot). Sylvan is the smallest of the Sylvania City Schools, which it can be reflected in the student-teacher ratio, and with the familiar and warmer environment. Even though it is the smallest, I was pleasantly surprised to experience that Sylvan has more cultural, and socioeconomic diversity to prepare him for real life than some Elementary Schools in Sylvania. He faces no developmental challenges, but he has classmates who require special education and they are receiving it with success. He has learned to be very respectful and compassionate by example. His teachers have been amazing. The staff is amicable and efficient. They know every kid's name and background, which I find to be important to provide proper attention. Education means much more than a school's grade/score. My son is receiving a great education at Sylvan.

I have nothing great things experienced with Sylvan. The teachers are awesome and have only felt fair treatment towards my children. Sylvan is definitely a hidden gem of sylvania.

Education and respect for all children is truly lacking.

I have been extremely pleased with my child's educational experience at Sylvan Elementary. There is a welcoming, family atmosphere and a diverse population ethnically, economically, and in terms of educational needs. Although there is a broad spectrum of learning abilities, all students seem to be challenged at their own skill level. The classroom diversity has only served to enhance my child's overall educational experience both academically and in terms of life skills.
