This school is terrible. The staff doesn't care about the students and their education. They don't do anything about students being bullied and preach homophobia. The kids here are simply terrible. The students at this school bully people due to their size and race and personal style. I would not recommend this school to parents that have kids that are a bit different.

I would NEVER recommend this school to nobody( Definitely Kids Of Color). They don't know how do deal with kids of color and how they react. My son was only in the school for 3 days and they suspended him, then had a meeting about his behavior( My child has ADHD and other problems. then in the meeting they said that my son couldn't come back to the school until he is older. He was in kindergarten!!!!! They didn't give him a chance or try. They say that they are a "Christian School" but the staff and Faculty, the principle, and the Elementary principle. was no where near it!!! they don't have the capacity and the right teachers to deal with something like this. My child was crying in the meeting when they said that he couldnt come back. They didn't say can you take him out for a minute or nothing!!!!!!!! That messed my child up!!! So I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO NOBODY!!!!!!!!!! (DEFINITELY FAMILY OF COLOR)

I am terribly regretting sending my children to this school. Thinking this would be better than public school was a joke! I'm so disappointed!

This school offers education from a Biblical perspective. Most of the teachers are caring. The administration needs to be more firm on behavior, though. The Biblical education they offer, as well as the atmosphere of teachers who truly care, creates an experience that is unparalleled in the public arena. I would say that the worst thing about it is some of the students feel entitled to disrupt the educational process, which is why I feel administration should be stronger. They need a stronger special education program.

This school knew my son had been/ was being bullied and did nothing about it. the teachers do not care about the class and you can basically do whatever you want

This school is not a typical private Christian School. It is a charter school that is apart of the Ohio State voucher program. Consequently, there standards have fallen in recent years. Poor student behavior is normal and bullying has been a problem. The administration appears to be in constant turmoil, and they are not interested in listening to parents. Teachers and administrators constantly come and go, so there is no continuity for your child. I no longer believe that this school is educationally sound, and we are planning to send our child to a new school next year. Hopefully, this review helps parents make an informed decision on where to send their children.

Great school with top notch leadership and teachers. I would highly recommend Emmanuel. I am surprised by some of the negative reviews, we have had a POSITIVE experience. We have had children at Emmanuel the last 4 year, there has been change in leadership for the better. The current administration cares about the students and our kid's teachers have been great.

Horrible experience. Student behavior at this school is atrocious and there are no standards for admission. This school is part of Ohio's state voucher program, so the quality has gone precipitously downhill. Most teachers at this school are just there for the paycheck. Teachers that are good are not given any support at this school in trying to deal with behavior problems. The school administration is in perpetual chaos and they never seem to be interested in helping parents. The school administration likes to use "flowery" religious language, but they do not embrace the values of Christ. Avoid the frustration and find a different school for you children. Beware, the administration has likely posted reviews to this site to improve their ratings.

We have been very disappointed. Our children have been neglected educationally at this school, and it will take years for them to recover. There are limited behavioral expectations for students, which creates a horrible learning environment. Bullying is allowed and the administration does not take the problem seriously. Many teachers and administrators do not have degrees in education and are not certified by the State of Ohio. In addition, the school has been through 3 different administrators in the past 3 years. The net result is that the school is disorganized and ineffective. We have been apart of the Emmanuel Christian community for many years, and it is sad to have to write this review. Many years ago under the leadership of Mr Flam this school was reputable and embraced the values of Christ. I am afraid that Christian values and the message of Christ are no longer alive at this school.

We have been associated with ECS for 14 years and have consistently felt God's presence. This school's mission is to assist the family in raising children with a Gospel centered worldview. This is more essential today than ever before.

As a parent of a high school student, I feel that it is a very good school. There will always be room to get better, but I really feel like they are a good school.

I love ECS! My children are well prepared to enter society after graduation and I cannot wait to see them thrive because of the values and education that was instilled in them through the teachers and administration of ECS. My children were taught to love the lord, be good people, and the education they were given is far superior to other schools in the area. If my children ever struggled with anything they teachers and administration were there to support, guide, love, and encourage my kids. I am a proud WARRIOR!

My students have been enrolled at Emmanuel for many years. Through changes in leadership over the past few years, their focus on Christian education and creating a sense of community has not wavered. I've gained lifelong friends through my connection to this school. I would recommend Emmanuel to anyone seeking a Christ-centered education with high academic standards.

As a parent of two children who graduated, I am so pleased to see my children "walking in the truth." My oldest was well-prepared, and ahead of everyone at his university. He received many full-ride educational scholarships. He has graduated with his undergraduate and Master's degree and is now very successful. This is a direct result of the godly influence he had in his education; people loved him enough to point out his wrongs and mentor him. If I had to do it all over again, I would never send my children to any other school. The education IS superior and the lifetime friends and godly mentoring is crucial to survive in the world today.

I am an alumni and am now a parent of a graduate. As a student myself, I got a phenomenal education from teachers who truly cared that served me well after graduation. As a parent, I am so thankful that my student had the same experience and that they were fully prepared for college, both spiritually and academically.

This is a great school! The teachers love the Lord and seek to honor Him in their teaching. They are very helpful and teach from a biblical perspective.
