We love Stokesdale Elementary. Being new to the area, I was nervous about if I chose the right school for my child but we couldn't be happier. The teachers are amazing & caring. My daughter's kindergarten teacher has greatly influenced my daughter. She is always playing school and pretending to be a teacher. My daughter gets "specials" every day including PE, music, art, technology and library. The PTO does a lot for schools including fall fest, sweetheart dance, bowling with our boys, spring bike parade/fun run, etc. creating a lot of memories for our family. We love being more involved with our community in NW Guilford. :)

We absolutely live Stokesdale! We were originally zoned for Oak Ridge Elementary and then rezoned for Stokesdale, so I had some concerns there may be a difference, but my daughter who started in the second half of kindergarten and is now in 3rd grade is thriving. She’s making straight A’s and has absolutely loved every single teacher she’s had. They genuinely care about their students. And it really feels like she gets the attention she needs to succeed vs. a larger elementary school. Thank you to all the Stokesdale staff who make school so much fun for her!

We've had children in Stokesdale Elementary for the past six years and we absolutely love this school! We appreciate the smaller class sizes and more tight-knit community feel you get from Stokesdale in comparison to the charter options. We feel it's important that the teachers are certified and are enthusiastic about teaching. We like that Stokesdale uses small group learning to teach children at their level and that it has an excellent academically gifted program.

My daughter easily made friends, received extra help when needed, and was able to take part in several after school enrichment opportunities! She really excelled at Stokesdale and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere.

Our family has had a great experience at this school since my daughter began school there two years ago! The staff is very welcoming and open, and made my daughter feel comfortable right away. The administration is superb and the teachers have been excellent. You can tell how much they care about the students and our school! The school has an excellent after school care program and the school also offers a variety of after-school clubs including a Kids Care Club, Crazy Running, Soccer Shots, Young Rembrandts (art club), Drama Kids, Kinderspanish.

Stokesdale is more than a just a school, they are more like family and show it everyday that they truly care about their students not only at school but at home. They are willing to do anything they can for the students and families if needed. If only we had more staff like this in the US we would have the best school systems hands down... I'm so Thankful my boys have been there and know everyone else with children there feel the same... Because of staff like them our children have very bright futures if they follow what they are taught.... Thank you Stokedale Staff I cant say that enough

They do a good job here. The public school agenda is always debatable no matter where you go, but I feel like my child is off to a good start.

My child attended Stokesdale Elementary for his first year of school last year. I was so impressed with his teacher's communication with us as well as the principal's availability to answer our questions. I didn't run into any issues that weren't solved right away. The ACES program at this school is phenomenal. My child never wants me to pick him up from ACES early and the teachers and program director are exceptional.

Stokesdale Elementary is filled with teachers and staff who go out of their way to help and provide the best possible education they can. They are passionate about what they do and care about the the success of each and every student. Parents should be involved and concerned with their child's education and if only they participate minimally with a conference each quarter, they can rest assured they will have a good, solid education throughout their elementary school years. Bullying is a problem throughout the United States and Stokesdale Elementary attackes the issue head on with awareness programs and pro active communication. My hat goes out to Stokesdale Elementary and their dedicated teachers and strong leadership that make it the best school in the county.

Stokesdale Elementary has some great teachers, however almost every grade level has one or two teachers that no involved parent wants their child to be with. Because the principal caves to parent pressure the good teachers end up with a disproportionate number of high performing students with parents who are willing to help in the classroom. Conversely, the poor teachers end up with those children who could most use the help of the more able teachers, and with those children who are new to the school. There are teachers who help all students regardless of level, but students at the extreme ends of the spectrum usually lose out. Students with learning problems do not get the help they need unless they have a pushy parent, and high excelling students are not provided with enrichment activities when they complete their work well in advance of their peers. Bullying is not dealt with effectively. Still if a parent is involved, children can get an adequate education, and the staff is overall warm and loving. The P.E. , art, and music teachers are excellent.
