I saw all the glowing reviews and was shocked by our experience. Pulled my kid out after a few short months. Teacher was not nice; I heard she's since retired. My child would often come home in tears due to his teacher's bullying or the other kid's bullying on the playground. One child physically assaulted my child (the yard monitor saw it happen and confronted the bully) and I did not get a single phone call. My child's takeaway was that they do social emotional learning in class but no one is nice there - words from a child. The principal called after I said we were leaving the school and her only concern was when the last day of attendance was. Not a single question was asked as to 'why' we were leaving. We felt unsafe and unsupported. There is a major lack of communication between parents and teacher too.

We transferred to this school when my son was in the 3rd grade. This completely changed my view on how a great school can impact your child's life and your own. My son is truly happy at this school every day. He has an IEP, and all the teachers and staff are very supportive. Wood Ranch Elementary has amazing teachers, and the principal is super nice and caring towards the kids. We are so happy to be here.

Wood Ranch elementary is an excellent school. By fourth grade my child was making PowerPoint presentations and learning to recite poetry in front of their class. I do wish the school district would have an extensive extracurricular program like our neighboring school district (school band, choir, drama, etc), however despite the lack of enrichment, this school is excellent. Every child has their own computer they take home, PE weekly, dance and art classes when the PTA funds it. The library is huge and amazing. The parents are very involved and the principle and teachers are excellent.

This school is a highly involved community of parents. Most live in the area and get to know each other well as the years progress. Living in the community with elementary right in the heart is so very convenient. School is on a beautiful campus with well maintained grounds. Property is gated and they are very strict with access into the school which makes us feel comfortable sending our kids here. Program is well organized with a wonderful after school enrichment programs and care program. The kids at this school are so well behaved. The school focuses on citizenship and character development. We’re very happy with this school.

I have been at Wood Ranch for four years. It is an amazing school. The teachers are productive and work hard on making learning not only easier but more fun. They are all nice and easy to warm up to. The staff is super helpful, and that is very important because the younger students at the school need more help. The campus supervisors make sure everyone is having a good time, getting along, and staying safe. The campus itself is very large, and there are gates all around it (which are new). That is a positive thing because it keeps all the students safe so they don't happen to wander out. The students at the school are very welcoming and nice, and I just want to say that the four years at this school have been absolutely amazing. Anyone at this school would be glad to say so. ( I am a student )

We have been at Wood Ranch for the past 4 years. My children love this school and their teachers. The new principal is doing a fabulous job! She is very active and involved in all matters on campus. This school has a very strong PTA and a large amount of parent involvement. I feel fortunate to have my children attend such a great school.

I am not impressed with our new principal. Seems much more concerned with being liked and making friends than doing the job given. What happened to professionalism?

Great School ! Both my kids go to this school and love it !! The school is super clean with strong PTA involvement. Each year the PTA raises $20K that goes towards school improvement and educational trips for kids. I have found the teachers to be very suppotive of the students and maintain a great rapport with the parents ! I highly recommend it !!

Many lazy teachers at this school. My daughter got very lucky and had wonderful teachers her whole 5 years there. My son on the other hand, not so lucky. The teachers he has had are lazy and expect the parents to teach rather then the teacher. She comes home with homework that is never even gone over in class. Information is given the day before tests and parents are expected to teach them the night before. Also, so many of the teachers are old and do not want to be there anymore and it is obvious in their teaching. PTA asks for money from each of the families but each year does not use it for the kids. No one really knows what happens to this money.

My children are students at Wood Ranch Elementary and they are doing fabulous. They are not gate either. They get the attention they need and the teachers stay connected to the parents. This year the school started with a new Principal. Wow am I surprise on how involved she is. She comes to every family event interacts with parents and children to make everyone feel welcome and special. She has an incredible open door policy and take constructive comment seriously. The PTA is very strong with their involvement. They do a phenomenal job at fund-raising and choose to spend wisely for the children. In this day in age finding an incredible public school may be hard but I'm glad to be here at Wood Ranch Elementary for my children's public education.

My child went to Wood Ranch a few years ago. I had to pull the child out because of bullying - not from children but from teachers. If your child is a hand in lap, wait your turn type of student, he or she will be fine. If not, our feeling was to have them challenged else where.

We have been very happy with this school. We find Mr. Todo to be extremely reasonable and open to parent discussion with an appointment. I have found the same to be true of the teachers. I think there may be some sour grapes from parents who feel they don't get to "run" the school and demand certain unimportant things and have the staff and principal roll over and allow it. The PTA is strong and has great activities for the students and families. This is a strong school with a strong vision and it is reflected in the high caliber expectations. :)

This school is fantastic. We are very happy here, and are impressed with both the academics and the administration. There are now more extro-curricular activities available which is good. Yes, they cost extra, but it's the times we live in. We are fortunate to have access to such a great public school.
