I love Lang Ranch. The teachers are so thoughtful and caring. We just had our parent/teacher conference after about a month an a half of school and the teacher literally described my child to us to a T. They were spot on. This shows me that they really care about what they do and they are very good at it. The school community definitely feels like a tight knit group and we are so happy to be Wranglers.

The school is really big, with so many kids it can seem overwhelming. 4-5 classes in each grade, with close to 30 kids in each class. But the academia is rigorous, the campus is tidy and the kids come from affluent families. There are enrichment classes after school that are paid out of pocket but offer great opportunities for sports, chorus, ceramics and art.My daughter is learning a lot but also is frustrated not getting to go to snack/recess until journal writing is completed. All in all we are happy with how much she is learning and is being challenged.

This is a wonderful school. Those other negative reviews are obviously allowed their opinion, but they have NO idea what a 1-star or 2-star school is really like. The teachers are wonderful, the staff care about the students and the atmosphere is very nurturing. I have spoken with many other parents from other areas and other schools and Lang Ranch clearly navigated the turbulent pandemic waters extremely well. We are so glad to have our kids attend this school. Keep up the wonderful work!

School condones the constant henpecking by its families toward each other. The school facebook page has parents calling each other out. Even putting up pictures and license plate numbers. The teachers care about looking good academically not the students.

Phenomenal school. My kids have been nurtured and challenged in positive ways. They love going to school and they are very prepared for middle school.

I'm sorry to read the negative experiences of the last reviewer, but I couldn't disagree more. It has been a wonderful community for my family. Every single school your child will ever attend will ask for donations. The parents who complain about this are also the parents who complain when music or visual arts or P.E. is cut. This is a public school subject to California state budget cuts. If you want those things offered to your child, funds must be raised to pay for it. Try going to the Oak Park school district where parents are asked to pay $400 per child each year. What Lang Ranch asks is nothing in comparison. And yet... I have *NEVER* made a donation to the school. I'll say it again *NEVER*. Not because I don't think it's deserved, but because I'm just not able to do it financially. My kids have still been placed with great teachers, our "standing" in the school has never been affected. And no, I don't have time to volunteer often in the classroom. But I do make efforts to get to know the teachers, show my face, and make sure he/she knows my child well...that's what matters. Not the money. With regard to the "fancy parents" comment....when we first started I also had this pre-conceived idea of who would be at this school. I had my guard up and was prepared to fill like I was "keeping up with the Jones". I was shocked to find how very few "fancy parents" there are. The vast majority of parents down to earth, hard working, regular people. Bottom line - beautiful campus, top notch teaching staff, caring community. My kids are thriving and we are quite satisfied with our school experience.

Very bad. The school is there for the employees, ie for the teachers. Nobody cares about the students anymore. Can’t wait for my child to get out of this school with its forever donations and more expensive yearbooks.

Mixed. There are some amazing teachers at the school. Great PTA. Very clicky among parents which trickles down to the kids. I've seen many instances of children with hurt feels which resulted in the actions of adults not children. Might be a good idea not to have as many parents roaming around the school all day.Wished my children's experience was with the first two principals of the school and not the current one.I also have concern about the childern's safety at the school. Since the Sandy Hook incident little has been done at the school. Children are locked out to the school until the school bell rings. I've always felt they are sitting targets before and after school. The gates to the school are open and anyone can walk into the play yard or outside the classroom doors where the kids hangout before school starts. If a threat were to occur before or after school the children are locked out while the teachers and staff are safe inside the building. When visiting the school during the day, the front office staff does not always look up to see who is walking by. There are days when the side gates to the school have not been locked when they should be after the school bell rings.

Terrible. My son's future is at stake because of their lack of help for students with diagnosed disabilities. They pretended not to have revived his diagnoses and did not provide him with his legally entitled education.

This school experience has been just "okay" for us. Unfortunately I do not think we would choose this school again if we had the chance to do it over again. The school was slow/ineffective when reacting to bullying and had really poor GATE offerings that did not meet the needs for our child. Both of these situations impacted our child's school experience and self esteem in a very negative way. After this experience we are actually leaving the Conejo Valley Public Schools completely since we believe GATE funding and the significance of this program is likely to be a district approach. If you have a student with different needs, this may not be the right school for them.

The best school ever. Teachers are really nice and patient. Fun and educational environment. Fifth grade will be the best grade here.

We moved here specifically to start my daughter in Lang Ranch Elementary. Each day reinforces that we made the right decision. The parent involvement is amazing, the teachers and staff are wonderful and to top it off the school is beautiful.

We feel so privileged that our kids are able to attend Lang Ranch Elementary. We're now sending our second child through LRE and I can't say enough good things about this school, it's outstanding principal, teachers and staff, and the great PTA. In these difficult times for education count your blessings if your children are able to be Wranglers!
