An amazing place, a true community of kindness. We transitioned from the public school to St Patrick's and have been thrilled for both the academic rigor, as well as the culture and spiritual and social mentoring of our child.

St. Patrick's Episcopal Day School in Thousand Oaks feels like a second home for my kids. Their mission to 'inspire and equip children to courageously transform the world' isn't just a saying—it's the heartbeat of the school. The teachers here are incredibly dedicated; they know each child personally and go the extra mile to nurture their unique potential. It's like each student has their own cheerleading squad, urging them to reach for the stars. The Service Learning curriculum is something special. It’s not just about textbooks and tests; it’s about teaching the kids to care for their community and showing them they can make a positive impact in the world. My children have not only grown academically but have also become more compassionate individuals. There's a variety of cool clubs for the kids to dive into. My children have loved being part of Sports Club, choir, and Lego robotics. It’s amazing to see them excited to go to school every day, whether they are looking forward to a science project, a sports club meeting, or a community service activity. The school’s performance in objective, standardized testing is top-notch, and it’s clear that the students here are getting a solid academic foundation. But what warms my heart the most is the school’s emphasis on kindness, community, and making a difference. The communication from the school is just right—informative but not overwhelming. And as a parent, I’ve always felt welcomed to contribute to the school community, be it through hosting events or supporting fundraising initiatives. The environment at St. Patrick's is vibrant and inclusive. It’s a place where every child can feel at home and thrive. Every day, my kids are excited about school, and as a parent, seeing that enthusiasm is priceless.I would love for more families to discover this gem in Thousand Oaks. I highly recommend visiting St. Patrick's Episcopal Day School to see how this nurturing, academically stimulating, and values-driven school can be the right place for your child to flourish and grow.

I am delighted to share our family's overwhelmingly positive experience at St. Patrick's Episcopal Day School. My daughter attended St. Patrick's from second through sixth grade, and I can confidently say that her time there was exceptional. From the moment we first stepped through the doors, we were welcomed into a warm and nurturing community that values academic excellence, creativity, and character development. St. Patrick's dedicated faculty and staff provided a rigorous and engaging curriculum and created a supportive environment that helped my daughter flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.I wholeheartedly recommend St. Patrick's Episcopal Day School to any parent seeking a high-quality, supportive, and enriching educational experience for their child. Our family will forever cherish the memories and lessons gained during our time there.

Wonderful. It is academically rigorous and the kids come out of this community ready to be leaders. It has been such a blessing to our family to have found this sweet little school.

We have mixed feelings about the school.

We absolutely love St. Patrick’s and found it to be the perfect fit for our two boys. The class sizes are small and the individual attention given by the teachers and teachers assistants has been really wonderful! The standard curriculum includes art, music, Spanish and computer class. But we well love the very most, is their commitment to community and kindness. Each grade works in a community service project and watching the boys learn and grow in that regard has made us so proud. We are grateful for all the teachers and administrators for creating the perfect space for our kids!

Our son has been at St. Patrick’s Day School from Kindergarten to 4th grade. Not only are the academics exceptional, but this school teaches kids values as well as the importance of giving back to their communities. The weekly school assembly has created an environment for my son to build confidence by speaking regularly in front of audiences and singing in glee club. The Art, Music, Spanish, PE, and Computer programs are exceptional and allow for a well-rounded education. Leadership is emphasized through the buddy program as well as student council. One of the best things about St. Patrick’s Day School is that it is more then just a school, it is a community.

St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School is a special place where my child has flourished the past five years. It is where he has been supported in being the best he can be academically, socially, developmentally and spiritually. After completing kindergarten in public school, my child started at St. Patrick’s in the first grade. It wasn’t anything specific or glaring that made us make the change; more of a small whisper that he should not just be surviving but thriving in his education. St. Patrick’s has exceeded my expectations in every way. First, it is a wonderful community. There are skilled and caring educators, attentive administrative staff, and the warm relationships we’ve developed with other St. Patrick’s families. The teachers have celebrated his successes and supported him where he has needed a little more help. Second, my child has blossomed with the continuity of his experience. The curriculum is well-planned and integrated. For example, the concepts he learned in third grade science regarding water were woven into his art class where they made ceramic clay raindrop dishes and into the service based learning project of funding a well in a community that didn’t have access to clean water. Human values concepts (kindness, compassion, honesty, perseverance) are not just professed, but practiced. The staff are wonderful role models and the St. Patrick’s family really is a “community of kindness” in their words and deeds. Last, it is a fun place to go to school and the annual traditions that students (and parents) look forward to include: family group activities, the Back-to-School Picnic, Sports Day, field trips, family fun night, Lights Out with Santa, community service projects, outdoor education overnight trips, hands-on engaging science projects, the Talent show, and cultural performances. My child is now in the sixth grade at St. Patrick’s. There is so much he is looking forward to in his final year at St. Patrick’s. He is a kind-hearted, smart, athletic, honest, contentious, and helpful kid. His experience at St. Patrick’s has enhanced these qualities. I am so appreciate to have found St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School.

We just moved to Thousand Oaks a few years ago and were not familiar with all of the schools in the area. When we decided that moving our daughter from her school was something we wanted to pursue, someone mentioned St. Patrick’s to us. I called right away and was so surprised and impressed when they had the principal speak directly with me! Having worked in private school administration for 16 years, I knew that talking to the principal on your first phone call was something that didn’t usually happen. I toured the school, followed by my daughter spending a day there – a day that ended with her telling us that she absolutely loved St. Patrick’s, felt so comfortable there, the children were all so kind, welcoming and friendly, as were all of the teachers she met. We were honored that our family was accepted into the St. Patrick’s community. Our daughter started the 4th grade there for the 2019-20 school year and now says to us “You don’t need to ask me how my day was anymore because every day is a 10 out of 10!.” Since she started at St. Patrick’s, my daughter has experienced the same feelings she did on the day she visited the school. In fact, she feels so comfortable at her new school, she volunteered to speak at chapel in the second week of school! It is so apparent that this community spends so much time not only on educating its students at an exceptional level, but on growing kind, empathetic, genuine, good, strong and community oriented young people. As a parent, seeing the teachers engage with the students in every activity and their goals to develop the whole child is heartwarming. From their work in the classroom to the way teachers greet students and parents every morning, we feel everyone is so approachable and available. The teachers and staff not only welcome the children, but the family into their community. St. Patrick’s School is truly a hidden gem.

This school is outstanding. It's led by a terrific administration: they are attentive and warm and know everyone's name. There is never any preferential treatment: all children and parents are treated like family. This couldn't be more different than the public elementary school my children came from (where we felt like a number). Academically, the work is balanced yet rigorous. Teachers are fair and have the time/resources to meet individual needs. Kids develop excellent work habits, strong mathematical and writing skills, and do a lot of work in science and social studies. What these kids are able to do in computer and Spanish from a young age amazes me. The instructors are top notch, especial computer, art, physical education, and classroom teachers. The kids themselves: what a great group. These kids go to chapel several times a week where they are asked to think about the world around them, help their community, treat their peers like family. They are helpful, well-mannered, and try to include everyone. It's an exceptional place. There are some bad days, but mostly good ones. My kids come home buzzing with excitement.

Strong administration, great teachers, a challenging yet nurturing atmosphere, strong ethics and moral teachings, a strong emphasis on public speaking and charity, rigorous academic standards, good after school programs, small class sizes with a good teacher to student ratio. We are leaving the area soon, and one of the reasons that made it a hard decision is because we love this school so much. Our daughter has thrived in this environment. We can only hope that we find a school like St. Patrick's where we are moving. I went to a pretty public elementary school in Orange County and ended up at a top tier university, but I wish had gone to a school like St. Pat's. The core life skills they are learning there will be invaluable as the kids move through life. Fantastic school.

We are so incredibly ecstatic to be sending our children to this amazing school. We switched to St. Patrick's after experiencing a dismal four years at the local public elementary school in Oak Park. Our children now are thriving, feel valued, cared for and are challenged academically. The teachers are outstanding. Both on a teaching level and a personable level. They sincerely care about each and every single student. The entire school and all of the families of St. Patrick's compromise such a "community of kindness"; from the headmaster meeting children daily on our walk into school with a friendly greeting and smile, to the office staff being completely helpful and incredibly friendly, to the art, computer and Spanish classes being engaging and interesting, to the beautiful spirit of the Reverend who is inspiring and uplifting at weekly Chapel services and to the morals and values our children are learning every single day that are sadly lacking in the public school system. We couldn't be happier with our decision and would recommend this school to everyone! We just wish we had made the decision to go here earlier!

St. Patrick's is an amazing school! I have a student there now but I also have a high school student who attended St. Patrick's. This gives me a unique perspective. I see how much this school prepared him academically and socially. Not only does he rank high in his class but so do all of his previous classmates (attending various high schools in the area). St. Patrick's offers an excellent academic curriculum but also gives every student an emotionally safe environment to reach beyond his or her comfort zone. They learn to become confident public speakers, express themselves artistically and challenge themselves physically.

St Patrick's is an amazing school, not only academically but also on the human level, helping our children grow to be respectful and caring individuals as well as engaged in their community. The teachers bring years of teaching experience as well as their high motivation and dedication to teach and challenge our children in a very positive environment. School staff is amazing and parents' involvement make St Patrick's an outstanding school with no equal. We couldn't wish for any better.

St Patricks is a strong academic school and has a very nurturing environment. There is a single class per grade k-6. The teachers are excellent and very experienced. Parents are very involved and supportive of each other and all the students.

After having a bad experience with public school, we searched for a school that cares for their students. So glad we found this one! Small size classes, computer lab, art & music program, community service projects and Christian values. What more could you ask for? Love how academic they are. Shows in the growth of my kids! Now Im not worried when they move on.

It not only takes a village to raise a child it takes a school like St. Patrick's Day School. St. Pat's teaches to the whole child and is a community of family. There is no other in the Conejo Valley that comes close. It has always been the best kept secret in the area but everyone should know about it. My children have a love for learning and I owe it all to St. Patrick's

St. Patrick's Episcopal Day School has a unique combination of stimulating academics and focus on character; children are given the tools to succeed both academically and as thoughtful and responsible members of their community. The classes are small and the atmosphere is very supportive and nurturing. We feel very fortunate to have our child at St. Patrick's!
