short, Glenwood Elementary School is an exceptional educational institution that prioritizes the academic and emotional development of its students. The combination of a dedicated staff, a diverse curriculum and an involved community ensures that children not only receive a high-quality education, but also grow up as confident and happy individuals. I would definitely recommend Glenwood to any family looking for an elementary school in Thousand Oaks.

This campus has a specialized program for students with social/emotional difficulties and has been locking these children into seclusion rooms for years as punishment. This happened to my child and after witnessing the bruises on her arms I started to investigate. She only attended 28 days before I pulled her out and hired an attorney. Unfortunately she spent many hours locked into these padded cells “the blue room” with a male adult for crying at morning drop-offs. None of the other parents who had their little kids in this program even knew these rooms existed! I sure wasn’t shown these rooms when I toured this whole campus before transferring my daughter here. These campuses are at risk.

Currently both of my daughters attend this school and I gotta say is a 5 star rating the teachers are extremely amazing the staff super friendly. Every day my daughter's wake up happy and excited to go to class! Special Thanks to Mrs. Lewis, Mrs .Gibson, Mrs. Cole, Mrs. Miller and Thank you Glenwood staff!!

My daughter went in kindergarten with Mrs. Gibson and she loved there. Mrs. Gibson was so good with every kid and once when my daughter cried in school, she handled her so beautifully. She used ClassDojo to track progress and points and when they reach a certain level, they used to make a trip to treasure chest. It was kind of fun and educational at the same time. My daughter loved her target teacher, Mrs. Fernandes and Coach Sky. They had story reading time after fall and once we had to miss it and my daughter cried badly saying she never wants to miss Mrs. Gibson class. Good place for kids.

There is very little parent involvement and it's probably because most parents don't even speak English. When I get messages at home from the school, the messages are left in Spanish, I suppose they assume we don't speak English because of our last name. The teachers seem to be ok, however, my son doesn't seem to be very challenged at all. Not a happy parent.

WORST elementary school in the Thousand Oaks area (asside from Conejo elem.)... My son went to Glenwood from 1st to 4th grade, and every single year I struggled with the idea of removing him and putting him in a new school, ANY other school.... We were one of the few families that spoke ENGLISH in 1st and 2nd grade, and by 4th grade it was almost impossible to communicate with any of the parents in english.... I had a horrible 1st and 3rd grade teachers and AMAZING 2nd and 4th grade teachers, but there was a revolving door as far as teachers go.... I heard that because it was a "title one school" teachers did their time, and moved on to better schools.... 4th grade was the year that broke the camels back, 3 boys and 1 girl in my son's grade were suspended for drinking BEER on campus!!! getting him out of there NOW!!! hoping it's not too late :(
