We've been here for many years now with our children now in 6th and 4th grade and couldn't be happier. Every teacher is dedicated and passionate about their class only using the best curriculum and tools aligned with their high standards for academics. The smaller class sizes allow for each child the opportunity to thrive with confidence and motivation to be their best selves. The specialty programs for all grades allow the students to grow and learn in ways other schools can't offer- Certified Outdoor Classroom, MakerSpace, Music, Art Trek, Spanish, Chapel and Chapel buddies, Community Service projects, etc, Their middle school academy is outstanding offering various field trips throughout the year to connect the curriculum with the real word, as well as their Thrive program which supports social emotional learning during the awkward middle school years. The TK-3rd grade classes each have a dedicated teacher's aid to support individual care for each student so no child is left behind and those who excel can still be challenged. We feel so blessed to be apart of this community providing our children with a solid foundation for their future.

We have two children at Ascension. The community is amazing. Academics are excellent. I do not understand the other recent comments on academics. Our children are reading significantly above grade level and their math abilities are far above what I understand kids of similar age are doing. I attribute their success mostly to the safe environment and loving staff.

Ascension is an amazing school, for both its academics and the community. My kids have been at this school since preschool and they're now in middle school and we couldn't be happier. The school went through some changes a couple years ago and we're now in a great place! It's so wonderful to drop your kids off at school and know that they are cared for, challenged and becoming the best version of themselves, especially during these middle school years. I can't say enough about Ascension Lutheran School. If you visit I think you will fall in love with this school too.

Not good elementary school academically!!!! I had to move my child. It was such a waste of time !! We lost 2 years. And of course waste of money.

Ascension has been such a wonderful experience for us. The education is great. The community is even better. The way the school is guided to serve and lead is heartwarming and an essential part of everything Ascension Lutheran School represents. I couldn’t recommend this school more!

Ascension Lutheran School was the best decision I made for my child. We left public school in 2020 & couldn't be happier. The teachers are so amazing and supportive.

Sweet, safe, kind and loving small school. The outdoor classroom experience is one of a kind. The staff is unlike any other school as they all know each kid and each family personally. We love this school and recommend it as much as we can.

We are so happy that we found Ascension Lutheran. We tried a few different private and public schools over the years, and Ascension is by far the best deal out there. Our son is absolutely thriving there, and we plan to send all three of our kids through Ascension. We love the small class size (our son's class has 14 kids in it!), but we've also been impressed by how involved and nurturing the entire community is. From parents and teachers to the maintenance workers on campus, everyone is friendly, warm and, most importantly, working hard to provide a safe and enriching environment for your kiddo.

We love Ascension Lutheran School!! We left the public school system in 2020 and it has been the decision we have made as parents. My kids are excited to go to school everyday. The teachers and staff are amazing and all of them get to know the kids not just by name, but through interacting with them throughout the school year. My kids feel loved and safe when they are on campus. The Principal is welcoming, engaged and enjoys speaking and hearing from our community and parents.

Great school! My oldest graduated when they still went to 8th grade and was so happy. My youngest has been there since she was 3 and now is heading into 5th grade! The teachers truly care about the students. The kids are so confident and nice. I couldn't ask for a better school

My 3 children, all with very different personalities and learning styles, have thrived in the 11 years that they have attended Ascension Lutheran preschool and school. This school is a family—warm, nurturing, and wonderful. Children know they are loved as they learn and play. This is a nature explore school, so they spend a healthy amount of time outdoors in the garden, learning about composting and God’s creation. This is not just a school but a place that raises good people.

We had our child at Ascension for 11 years. The preschool and day school are both wonderful. The teachers are caring and provide a great Christian environment and learning community. Would highly recommend Ascension!

As a mom of 2 Ascension kids, It is so obvious to me how much Ascension has helped and still helps to set a solid foundation of faith in thier lives. The community of staff and parents are second to none. There are always, hugs and smiles all around! Our new Principal Rich Gregory has very exciting plans and visions for Ascension and I could not be more thrilled for Ascension Lutheran's future!

Ascension provides academic excellence in a caring, nurturing environment. My son has thrived here since preschool. Small class sizes, individual attention, service learning and outdoor classroom are all attributes that we love about Ascension.

Ascension Lutheran has been the perfect match for our youngest son. He is a unique little guy with some mild special needs, and this school has met him right where he's at with open arms, including him in all aspects of the curriculum, and has warmly welcomed our privately provided 1:1 behavioral therapist into the classroom. With a faith-first approach, all students are taught and shown kindness, empathy, and outreach. Ascension is also one of a kind with its Nature Explorer Certified Outdoor Classroom and engineering/ problem solving-focused Makerspace. The tight knit community of students, parents, faculty, and staff felt like home from our first day on campus. We all have so much fun together, too - snow day in the parking lot, teachers vs. students basketball game, annual tomato plant sale, outdoor Christmas concert on the lawn, watching the butterflies hatch right outside the kindergarten classroom, our principal dressing up as Yoda on Star Wars Day, etcetera. Your child, like mine, will be known and loved at Ascension Lutheran School.

We have had two children at ALS from preschool (2 yrs) up to 6th grade. We are so thankful for the loving extended family this community has given us for all these precious years. Its a great school and will no doubt continue to grow with our new wonderfully capable and completely dedicated principal Mr.Gregory who understands how to lead the school with grace and intelligence. Our kids had the best quality education, sports experiences, outings, extra curriculars and wonderful friendships that span their entire childhoods. Our teachers are the best! They actually know the students and care about them individually because classes are kept small and personal growth is the top priority. Its a very special place and we will miss this wonderful school so much. You don't have to be worried about not being of the Lutheran faith or not belonging to the church or any church in fact. All are welcome and the faith based education has really given our kids a great start with building good morales and ethics which is lacking in some school environments. Highly recommend ALS without reservations.

Our daughter is in third grade at Ascension Lutheran School, and has been there since TK in 2017. We have been extremely happy with our experience over these last five years, and especially over the past two years which have been such a difficult time in our lives. Ascension's small school size is able to provide a learning rich environment for our children that other larger, and/or public schools, are not able to offer. The class sizes are small giving children more time attention to help foster their individual needs. This smaller size also provides for a more intimate experience for not only the children, but all of the families as well. One of our favorite aspects of the school is their commitment to nature and outdoor learning. I strongly believe that getting our children outdoors, and in nature, whether it's reading, gardening, or learning other things about our beautiful planet, is priceless. After just finishing construction on the area's best, beautiful Early Child Care center, they now have plans to construct a new outdoor learning area. The plans look amazing, and include things such as a green house, outdoor kitchen, small amphitheater, and much more. Personally I am very excited for this new space.Pastor Tim and Pastor Chamie have been a staple of the school since we arrived, and really are the heart of the school, church and the entire One Ascension community (grammar school campus, church and ECC). They have been a rock through whatever trials and tribulations there have been over the recent years. Along with our new incoming principal, Mr. Rich Gregory, who has taken over after spending more than a decade at Oaks Christian in another role there. Mr. Gregory has brought great energy, and has plans to really bring Ascension to the forefront of the learning experience for our young children, we could not be more excited about the schools future.One of the advantages that was also priceless to me was our school's ability to shift to online learning, and then progress forward accordingly during the onset of the pandemic. It was absolutely amazing to have our kids back in, in-person school, as early as October of 2020. Having seen so many children not be able to be in school during that time tragic, and our school was able to provide a safe learning environment for our children.I strongly recommend Ascension Lutheran School, especially with it's ascending trajectory and bright future.
