Our family has been at Thrasher for 17 years & absolutely loves it!! The teachers are so invested in nurturing a learning environment & striving to be the best they can be. Administrators are so supportive of staff & seek what is best for ALL children in their care.

I have several children at Thrasher and can't imagine ever going anywhere else. The teachers and administrators are always so supportive and always have time to listen. My children run the spectrum from gifted to special needs and are treated with respect. I find Ms. Brock to be very knowledgeable and compassionate, yet hold high expectations for everyone. Her and Mr. Paulson treat teachers, parents, and students with dignity and I am so glad we are part of Thrasher. It is an amazing place!

My son attended Thrasher from kindergarten through fifth grade and we couldn't be happier with the education he received. There is a very high level of parental involvement that allows the staff to focus on the students. It has a comfortable feel, and the children really seem to enjoy their days there. Thrasher is a truly excellent school and one I can not recommend highly enough.

My son has attended Thrasher for two years, and I have been so pleased with the enthusiasm that the new principal has towards learning. Mrs. Brock spends time in the classrooms and makes everyone feel so welcome each and every day. I have had the opportunity to see her interact with the teachers, and it is obvious that they have a strong working relationship that will continue to build a strong school surrounded by creativity and support for our children. I am so excited to see where Mrs. Brock takes Thrasher in the upcoming years! :) It makes me happy to know that my son's school is being led by a staff that supports one another, as well as the students.

3 boys, 2 principals, and 12 years at Thrasher Elementary. During that time the school has earned several awards: Blue Ribbon Award, National School of Excellence, and 2 years in a row Reward School for both performance and growth. Principals, and Teachers who LOVE what they do along with strong parental support/involvement make this school the BEST in the area!

I read several comments about the former principal and I have to agree, I did not care for her style or attitiude. We now have a new principal starting the 2013-2014 year and hopefully we will be back to a school that cares more about the children than stem labs and test scores. I have sent 3 children through this school and couldn't imagine them going anywhere else. We do have a lot of new young teachers that are just getting started on their careers and hopefully they will be as wonderful as the one we have lost.

The principal leaves a lot to be desired - but overall, we LOVE Thrasher Elem. All four years so far havef been absolutely wonderful and I would not change schools for any reason.

We LOVE Thrasher, both my kids are excited about school every morning, the Teachers and staff are excellent and you can truly tell they care about their students. When our kids came of age we knew that Thrasher was the place to send them so we moved to Signal Mountain. We love it up here, the community and the schools are AWESOME!! A++ Couldn't be happier!

Thrasher is a school that reflects the wonderful community it serves. It has tremendous parental involvement that is encouraged and appreciated. I have 2 children attending and they get up every day happy to be going to school.

I have a 2nd grader and a Kindergartner. The Kindergartner could not wait tto come to school at Thrasher because of the amazingly wonderful three years the 2nd grader had. So far, he is loving it. Teachers are caring. They individualize instruction for my children. Parents are involved. Kids are kind to each other. My children come home happy every day, and they learn something every day. I couldn't be happier!

Principal leadership is poor. The teacher we had this year was one of the worst we have ever experienced. She was a young, inexperienced teacher with attitude. The teacher and principal were nothing short of bullies. Would not recommend this school to anyone.
