I am so glad we found this school. My child has attended Rivermont since Kindergarten. She has had a great experience here and has really blossomed going to this school.

My child is going into her 3rd year at Rivermont Elementary, and she has done very well. I love the parent involvement and the teachers/staff. Wonderful school and wonderful community.

Rivermont has a new principal and a new STEAM curriculum. Students from all over the county are applying to get in. There is a major renovation happening at the end of July! Big things are in store for this school!

Wonderful! We moved to Rivermont mid year and my 3rd grader had a very difficult transition. The teachers at Rivermont went above & beyond! We have had a wonderful experience the past two years and I'm so excited to see the new developments at Rivermont this coming year!

I have been volunteering at Rivermont for a few months as a reading specialist and have been able to experience the dedication and vision of Nikki Bailey and her staff. It is a friendly and focused learing community with project based learning, for the students, who have many opportunities to grow in academics, develop their skills in problem solving and enjoying the process. I love being part of this school community.

My child has really excelled since we moved to the area. The new Principal has done a great job and the STEAM program has presented a really great opportunity for our children.

I love everything about this school! The students, the teachers, the staff, the principal are all great and the leadership has a real vision for where the school and the students are heading. Every Friday, you can reserve your spot in a school tour to see how awesome this place is for yourself. Simply call the school office and make a reservation. Even better is that the community is fully engaged in making Rivermont the very best it can be.

Rivermont is such a loving and caring staff. Their new curriculum which involves STEAM and project based learning is quite impressive. The community is very involved with the school. Rivermont offers small class sizes where children thrive!

The new administration and teachers are absolutely top notch! All the teachers really seem to care about the children, as people, and provide a supportive, caring atmosphere. The STEAM curriculum they are implementing across grade levels is quite impressive! And I really appreciate how Rivermont is open and welcoming to the community.

My 10 year daughter attends 5th grade at Rivermont Ele. Her grades have risen above and beyond what we had expected!! She loves the school her teachers and her fellow students. The staff are really nice and helpful.

My son attended Mrs. Lee's Pre-K class last year. I was very impressed with what he learned during his time at Rivermont. He ended pre-k with strong phonetic and beginners reading, math and superb social skills. The teacher's ability to cater to those who were advanced as well as her ability to nurture those who may have needed more time and attention were very impressive. Great program.

My kids came from Birmingham City School System. Their grades were average to poor. When my son attended Rivermont he bacame an honor student and stayed one for his entire school year. His grade level went up 4 levels. His teacher was very professionl and caring. We had to move back to Birmingham, but my son still talks about his experience at Rivermont.

This school needs to get its act together! As a parent of a 1st year student I dont know the ins and outs and wasnt given a rule book until school had been in for over a month! plus I just had to guess what they needed!

Their are SO many wonderful & dedicated teachers, but as far as the Principal, Ms. Kerns ...well to say the least, I am very unimpressed! I have 2 children there. My oldest child has gone there since pre-k & Ms. Kerns has been NOTHING but rude & unwelcomming to say the least. I am an involved parent with the school & she never makes me feel welcome, not to mention the way she treats the Teachers. My child was is supposed to be in the gifted program, but for 3 years now he is STILL NOT in the program. Get rid of the Principal & this school has great potential. Especially with MORE PARENT INVOLVEMENT!

My three children all go to Rivermont and we all love it there the teachers and students are great and I think the principal is great as well.
