This school is led by socialists and marxists. They don’t care about kids. They care about themselves; their control and their positions of power. They look for ways to expel kids with problems that would lower their test scores etc.

Electives offered have opened my kids' eye to things they never experienced or thought they were good at before. Choir, Ceramics and Woodshop have been fun and enriching, and we are happy with the 7 period day that enables these electives to continue.

Great teachers, a variety programming beyond the core basics and a very involved community help keep kids interested. Sports are fun too, lots of choices and team spirit.

Amazing teachers, great community support and 7 periods create a great environment to educate our kids on the basics and give them room to explore their passions!

Shauna Ferdinandson is the new principal at Analy this year and she is doing a great job. We can tell she sincerely cares about the quality of the kids' education, the needs of individual students, and the overall student experience. We are especially pleased with her decision to hire Mr. Casey Jones as Analy's new band teacher. He is an outstanding addition to the school. He inspires students to challenge themselves with their music and academics, and almost immediately created a strong sense of community among the band students. There many other teachers creating great academic and life experiences at Analy as well. We have been very happy with our time at this school.

This school does a good job looking good because Sebastopol is so expensive and has so few families that most are from wealthy/highly educated families. However there is an entitlement problem and the bullying is crazy. They are largely unsupervised other than classroom time and lots of mischief (drugs/sex) goes on and no one cares. If you go to an administrator they have a "kids will be kids" attitude because they are afraid of confronting the kids/parents. Most teachers are great, music program is great, college prep is great but when something's bad it's REAL bad. I could not get my kid out of there fast enough. They have an integrity problem.

Good School! Teachers are caring and understanding. There are always a few bad apples but judgement by the few would make any and all schools poor places for education. Advocate and get involved. Judge only after you have done everything possible to make a change.

My student made many life long friends, participated in sports and clubs, enjoyed the choir program, and excelled in academics. There are a few teachers that could be improved/removed, but overall a good learning environment.

Horrible. Traumatizing. Terrible culture. Homeschooling is a better option since it's the only school in the town. They do a good job at 'looking good'.

Excellent academics, amazing counseling staff (seriously the best) and great preparation for college. Music program is exceptional and they have a majority of students involved in band which is unheard of. I did not give 5 stars because there are a couple major flaws - the kids are pretty much left to their own devices at breaks, lunch and before/after school and there is a lot of smoking/drinking/drugs/sex going on around the campus, in the woods, people's houses (during school day) and no one cares. I went to the administrators and was told there's nothing they can do. There are also elements of elitism and entitlement - a large part of the student body comes from wealthy/highly educated families and there's an air of being untouchable, it's hard to explain. I think this affects discipline since the school heavily relies on parent financial support. Just a guess. If your student gets in with the right crowd they will have an excellent experience there. If they do not, I'd advise staying on top of them, their friends, their counselors and administrators or even the cops if necessary. Academically, superb. Socially, could be better.

I am the grandparent of an Analy sophomore and very involved with my student's progress. This school provides excellent opportunities for development of special interests (particularly a superb drama program) and an exceptional level of teaching in academic areas which is illustrated by the high test scores. The principal and staff are approachable and responsive to parental concerns and provide a safe environment for students. The buildings and facilities may be old but the spirit of the school is young and vibrant. It has been a great choice for our student.
