We currently have a 2nd grader and a preschooler at HRS. We have been so pleased with the academics, as well as community involvement. You truly get to know the families of kids your child is spending all of their time with. That environment would be impossible to replicate in a public school setting. The teachers and staff are wonderful, and the administration goes above and beyond when issues do come up. I look forward to many years ahead at HRS.

I would absolutely recommend this school. We made the leap from another West Seattle school and have never regretting that decision. I feel that the teachers are engaged and truly care about their students. The years we spent in the Holy Rosary community have been fun, inspiring and great for my child and our whole family. I appreciate the connection with other parents, through Parents club meetings, fun events such as West fest and multiple other opportunities to get involved. Academically, this school excels and the education you receive at Holy Rosary really sets your child for success.

We have 2 boys that both attended Holy Rosary School from kindergarten through 8th grade. We had a wonderful experience there - the teachers were amazing, and the school provided a great environment for them to not only become good students but also good people. We have loved our time at this school and are very thankful that Holy Rosary School was part of our kids' journeys.

My eldest daughter just graduated from HRS, and had a wonderful experience. The entire school is very focused not only on high academic standards, but also social and emotional well being. My daughter is neurodivergent and was well supported. I gave 4 out of 5 for special education, because as a private school, I do not think they have the staff to handle students with more intensive needs. However, my daughter thrived at HRS in a way that I don't think would have been possible in the public school that we left. The junior high (7th and 8th grade) teachers in particular were outstanding.

We transferred schools and even in the two years we attended the sense of community the school has built made it feel as if we had been there all along. the teachers are amazing and bring out the greatest strengths in every individual child. although the classes were larger every student was given the one on one opportunities with teachers and alway had multiple ways to connect and help each student out. Having more student meant there was ample opportunities to make friends and feel included. not only were students welcoming but so were the families at the school. Families and children had the same values and goals and parents were amazing, out going and friendly.

As my youngest child graduates from Holy Rosary School, I am happy to write a review about the excellent education that my children received. The tagline of spirit and mind ignited is not just a saying, my children received a well-rounded education. Holy Rosary prepares students for the rigors of high school and beyond. Not only do they provide an excellent K-8 academic education, but they also concentrate on public speaking from an early age, learning how to efficiently take notes and being organized with a daily planner. You can't put a price on the above mentioned skills, nor on the importance of service and morals that are discussed and lived daily. I can't say enough positive things about the teachers and staff, each person truly cares and has a great rapport with students and families. We briefly thought about moving out of the area, but Holy Rosary School was at the top of the pros list as to why we should stay and let both our children graduate. My husband and I have made lifelong friends from volunteering with other parents. I am confident the skills and friendships developed at Holy Rosary will benefit my children for years to come!

This is a review for @holyrosaryws for other parents considering making this investment. Wow, we just graduated our youngest from 8th grade last night and our hearts are full of gratitude for this amazing community. Sending our kids to Holy Rosary was the best decision. We have loved every aspect of these 12 years from the close friendships with other families, the hands on learning, the creativity of the teachers especially during covid, the character and faith development, the meaningful traditions, CYO sports and yes, even the countless hours volunteering. It has been rewarding and given our family the priceless gift of belonging. Thank you to all these dedicated teachers and staff for helping us raise our children.

I sent my son to Holy Rosary School on the strength of the adults I know who attended. I am so happy I made that choice. Holy Rosary has been educating children for over 100 years and their strong foundation proved fundamental even as the pandemic disrupted the traditional school model. The transition to virtual learning wasn't easy, but as the parent of a graduating 8th grader, I can tell you that very little rigor was lost. He is more than well-prepared for high school from an academic perspective, from an executive management perspective and from a maturity perspective. I'm fortunate to have a student who was old enough to manage the change, but it's in no small part due to the discipline, organization and passion of the administration and staff. Rounding out the ecosystem of professionals and curricula is the parent community. Families grow close through their years at this school, and they form a support system that bonds. My student has made friends who will be part of his life for years to come! While I think homework could have been a little heavier, and there could be a smidge more attention paid to learning differences, I can't rave enough about the quality of the education and the experience provided at Holy Rosary West Seattle.

Both my children are flourishing at HRS, one in elementary, one in middle school. Two very different personalities (introvert vs. extrovert) they love going to school and being part of the community there. I appreciate that there are 3 different math-leveled classes offered in 5-8th grade and that all the grades have computer lab, music, and art time. Language arts and communication skills are a strong focus at the school as well.

My children absolutely love their school, friends, teachers, activities, etc. They get many opportunities to speak in front of students and adults, which builds an incredible amount of confidence at such a young age. They rave about what they learn and about the extra activities. A huge bonus is the after school care, BASE. They go to computer lab, art workshops, cooking classes, chess club and get to finish their homework and play with their friends after school. The parent involvement is plentiful and parents have so many opportunities to be involved and meet other parents. It really is an amazing school and community!

Holy Rosary is an amazing school and community. Our children are exposed to and encouraged in the development of a lifelong love of learning every day. This school is producing young men and women of character who will be productive members and leaders in society. This school is the reason we haven't moved away from West Seattle...it is terrific!

We have been blown away by the professionalism of the teachers, the commitment of the administrators, and the strength of the community at Holy Rosary. Each teacher has gone above and beyond to get to know our sons' learning styles, support their growth, and communicate with us about their progress. Parents are active and involved and our sons' classmates have been engaged, respectful, and inclusive. Our kids are thriving in this sweet, nurturing, and rigorous environment.

I am so happy with this school. The teachers have been incredible. My older son has learning differences and the support he has received brings tears to my eyes. He has come so far with the support of his teachers and reading specialists. Also I love the feeling of community. We help each other out and support each other. I know that if I need help, there are ten moms I can call in a second who will give my kids a ride home or take them after school if I have an appointment.

As someone who has worked in independent schools for 15 years and grew up in a family of educators my husband and I were quite thorough in our research of schools when the time came to pick a kindergarten. Three years later we are still glad we made the choice. Our son comes home happy every day and loves learning. The teachers are committed at an A+ level. They truly love their students and are committed to rigorous standards. The community is close-knit, supportive, fun and kind. To say, "they have your back" is an understatement. Everyone is working together here and the fantastic results are indisputable.

Holy Rosary is a warm, nurturing school community that balances rigorous academics with a great character-building curriculum. Kids coming out of HR are smart, kind, and service-oriented. Test scores are consistently excellent, and students are more than prepared for high school and beyond. Non-Catholic families should not shy away from this school! It's a very open and welcoming community made up of Catholics and Non-Catholics alike.
