I attended St.Christopher School for quite a few years, including through Covid. I can safely say that the school is among the worst I have ever attended, or witnessed for that matter. The teachers are completely uninterested in the welfare and knowledge of students, much less in keeping order in the classroom. Students were repeatedly left to do whatever during independent work time. The school's leadership declined over the years and is currently led by an out-of-touch, strict principal who plays favorites to an extreme level. Favoritism was rife with teachers as well, and teachers were nearly always sexist. Some teachers were sexist against boys, and others against girls. Sadly, the administration did nothing about this. In terms of academic opportunity, the school offers no electives and refuses to accommodate students who are ahead or behind the track. Whenever accommodations need to be made, teachers are dead set against it. In terms of the student body, despite being a catholic school, students barely ever embody the values of any religion on the planet. Students are snobby, lazy, whiny, spoilt, and have huge problems when it comes to basic skills in education, which can be reflected in the school itself. I was unlucky enough to undergo a school trip with the students. Many behaved so badly that they were kicked out of museums. Later, I read an article in the Washington Post about how badly middle school visitors to the city behaved, how disrespectful, and the St.Christopher class of that year who visited ended up as a featured image in the article. Students littered were completely disinterested in learning, and did not listen to parent chaperones. Those organizing the trip, which happened very recently, in the aftermath of the pandemic, hid information about kids of had covid and kept kids with covid and those without in the same rooms so much so that I, along with many others got covid. I lost my sense of taste and smell and was bedridden for weeks before recovery. In summary, I would not recommend the school at all. The school is rife with sexism and favoritism, among others, and is among the most negative and unsupportive environments I have ever been in. Please, think twice before enrolling. I thankfully graduated a year or two ago, and have realized what I was missing out on.

Schools, like a lot of things are all about fit..I have two children at St. Chris in K and 4th grades and they both have had great experiences and are learning and growing as people. There is a strong community around the school and lots of parent involvement which is something we really wanted in a school. But I also understand that St. Chris is not for everyone. If you want to send your child to school and rely on on the school to handle everything with respect to education, you'll probably not be happy here. St. Chris requires some parent involvement to get the most out of the experience. If your child has special needs this is probably not the best school for them. Unfortunately, not all schools are set up to handle special needs children. By the same token if your child is a prodigy that will be graduating from MIT at 12 years of age, this is also probably not the best school for them. But if you are looking for a great school, with caring teachers, a community of involved parents where your children can get a great education, you should check it out and see if it's a good fit for you and your child. It's been a 5 star experience for us.
