Love Fammatre and how it has changed for the better since Mrs Haley came on board as principle. I have yet to meet a teacher here that I don't like. Have had a super positive experience even with a very challenging kid.

There are a few great teachers if you are fortunate to get them. Otherwise, there are many lazy teachers that don’t care if your child is learning. Even after several parents voiced concerns to the principal regarding certain teachers, nothing has been done to hold the teachers accountable. It’s very concerning that test scores have gone down considerably at this school over the past few years.

This is a good school. My son was in TK in Mrs. Cummings class for year 2017-2018. Mrs. Cumming was amazing, we really love her. He was very happy to go school everyday. He got promoted to Kindergarten today, he was saying, i'll miss my teacher.

Fammatre is a hidden gem in a city dominated by large school districts. My child is graduating from 5th grade this year, and he has received an excellent education throughout his K-5 grades. The quality of teachers and academic programs at Fammatre exceed those of better-known districts. Principal MacFarland has brought her passion for S.T.E.A.M into every corner of the school. It shows in the school's popular Makerspace facility, iPad programs and 1:1 Chromebooks for 4th-5th graders, all at zero cost to students. Fammatre's arts programs are stellar - Mr. Golden is a beloved music teacher. Visual arts and art history lessons are brought into classrooms by parent volunteers six times a year. The school's Home & School Club (PTA) sponsors numerous activities, one of which is a junior theater production that draws hundreds in the audience during the holidays. All in all, my family gives two-thumbs up to the top-level instructional programs at Fammatre. The administration, faculty, and the Home & School Club are what makes this school community feel like an extended family of ours. Principal MacFarland has a whole-child approach to education and she has impressed me with her vision for the school. We will miss being part of this close-knit community when my child graduates this June.

We used to love it but since the new principal Mrs McFarland took over the school has gone downhill. The only saving grace is a couple of really good teachers, but the rest are mediocre at best. They are only there for the pay check. They don’t care if the kids are learning or not. So sad as it used to be such a good school. We will be pulling our kids out and will find a better learning environment where the teachers actually teach and the principal does their job.

This was our first year at Fammatre for TK. It has been the absolute best experience, much more than I could have imagined. It makes me truly sad to have this year coming to a close, but I look forward to see what next year holds. Mrs. Cummings and Mrs. Orcut have made my son (who is extremely shy and has never been in anyone's care, except family members) feel like school is his second home. He looks forward to school every single day and is so excited to tell me about what he learned and who he played with at lunch at the end of each day. The school has great activities throughout the year and, he has made so much progress with his speech (thanks to Mrs. G, his speech teacher). Mrs. Perry in the office is always so helpful and the couple times my son has been sick and had to wait to be picked up, she made him feel at ease until we got there. I would not have changed anything about our experience at Fammatre and I hope that when my daughter is in TK in a couple years that she gets to have the same teachers!

Fantastic school, great teachers! My son had Ms Silva and Ms Drach and both are excellent teachers. Parent participation is very high. Cambrian neighborhood is very family oriented and it shows well at Fammatre.

This school was the reason why we moved here. We heard the Cambrian School District before from some of my friends and co-workers. Teachers here are terrific! Ms. Boswell was with my eldest son, while my middle and youngest had Ms. Johnson. Both teachers starting off with students were excellent. Combo classes made integration to higher grades was something new and it seems to work out. The 4-Bs among other Life Skills are a big essentials and plus in the morning recess. Community-wise school with extra helpful parents AND students are so supportive. I've enjoyed the experience with all the past teachers (Ms. Liewer, Mr. Carter, Ms. Foy, Ms. Silva & Ms. Phllips) and looks like they really care about their students and help in anyway they can. Helpful parents are encouraged to be involved and it shows! The network works! As parents this is all we ask for. We understand that teachers can't be everywhere but when you can see the tears in their eyes, that when you know that someone has cared for a child. There's additional after school programs. I can't tell how I appreciate our music program director Mr. Golden and Ms. Perry is on top of things! Go Falcons!

Our fourth grader and second grader have had a great time at Fammatre and have shown incredible improvements from year to year. Our fourth grader has struggled with attention deficit and has had the benefit of superb teachers every year, addressing the issue from different angles- including one teacher asking my student to stay after class to help with projects and get some one-on-one time mentor time.

We just came from Fammatre's Open House where I was reminded once again just how lucky my son is to have his kindergarten experience there. KB ROCKS!!! The teachers are awesome! The room was filled to bursting with totally child constructed art, reading, writing, and science projects. My son was so proud and couldn't wait to share all his "kid-made" books. He has such a wonderful year.in KB. We are so thrilled with his excitement to learn and can only think that more wonderful teachers and learning await us in first grade.

Fammatre is a great school. Our son's teachers have been great. They care about the kids and take care to ensure the kids learn social and academic skills. The school also has strong community ties. We have greatly enjoyed getting to know other Fammatre families.

Fammatre is a fantastic school that provides a truly exceptional learning environment and experience for kids (and parents). My son's kindergarten teacher Miss Boswell has continually gone above and beyond to meet the needs of each student in her class. She provides her students not only with the educational skills they need but also essential life skills that will make them successful students in the years to come. The parent involvement at Fammatre has created a community that can't be beat. Throughout this year parents have stepped up and volunteered whenever needed. I'm so glad that my children are Fammatre students!

This is an awesome school with caring teachers and administrators. My children are thriving there. I'm so happy we were able to get in to this charter school as our local elementary is rated a 3 out of 10! Unfortunately, like most other CA districts, we're looking at laying off quite a few teachers this summer and I hope we'll be able to maintain the quality education with fewer teachers and larger classes.

We have the greatest teachers, staff, parents and kids! There is such a sense of community and so much involvement. My kids love to go to school every day.

My 6 year old just loves it here. The principal is amazing and the teachers are phenomenal. The entire school, from the parents to the teachers and staff, act as a cohesive community. It takes a village to raise a child and this school is part of our village and my family is fortunate for that.
