My daughters behavior, social choices and decisions have declined DRASTICALLY since shes started Houck. I have countless times witnessed inappropriate dress code amungst students and administrative protocal accountability decline to almost non existent. Students being either bullied or the bullier, stealing things (expensive things) from either each other or parents/siblings at home. What are we as parents in this school/administration teaching our children is right from wrong when the wrong is not addressed. Encouraging NOT to bring/do things is not the same as enforcement of protocals. I feel the quality of our schools should be held to a higher standard and us as parents should fight the good fight for the sake of our kids and future they hold in their hands. Respect, courtesy and accountability!

i really love this school cus of all the gangs im not in one but i get to film it all the teachers dont do anything about it wich is amazing so i get to record people pulling a silver bullet its a karate move if your wondering edit i am the parent of the kid who wrote it i too love watching these videos of kids fighting this school is the most gang school out there sending love all bullies

The schhol is great lots of fights to record and everybod tags the school and everybody wears baggy pants and people even are in a gang so great schhool

This school is downright dangerous and the staff turn a blind eye to everything. After witnessing bullying incidents and also having my own children the victim of bullying, it was time to get them out. In my opinion, the way the school deals with things just creates a more aggressive bully. My kids were pulled and have been happily and safely attending ORVA.

This school is trash, giving a 1 star is 1 star too many. The newest reviews on here are from years ago.I've never been so disappointed in a school before.There are physical fights between students daily, students have been found with weapons and making homemade weapons at the school, and a child had a gun pulled on him at the beginning of the school year (2021/22).The resources provided are very limited. Teachers are not able to provide proper or consistent instruction due to disruptions by students.Students aren't being monitored by adults to enforce safety. Students do not get reprimanded for using profanity or for using explicit sexual language and content. Additionally, students are being asked by other students to send inappropriate photos to other students every day without disciplinary actions.My student was repeatedly threatened with physical violence every day. The school had a school shooting threat recently and they never even closed the school for safety.Sending my student here was beyond my choice due to SKPS zoning so we pulled her from SKPS entirely.For the safety of your child try to find an alternative!

Horrible. Please...I beg you...if your not from around this area your child will be bullied.. They will not be safe at this school. This school should be shut down or get real people in there that can take control of the situation.

I have been living in this neighborhood for over five years. Throughout this time I have never heard any of the kids in the area say anything positive about the school. I have even spoken to staff who have previously worked at the school and they indicated that their experience at this school was a negative one.
