Mark Twain is an exemplary school. The principal is always available and informed on all student and teacher matters. She makes time to talk and get to know her students and their parents. Every teach we have had in the last 5 years at Twain has been beyond our dreams as far as attitude and how they teach. I heard horrid stories from parents in other districts during covid shutdown and I could not say enough positive things about out school. Keep up the fantastic work!

It has declined significantly over the years.

Very poorly. As a parent who wants the best for their child, this school has been nothing but extra work since the beginning of first grade. So sad that many of their students are losing confidence in their skills because the teachers tell them they are a bad group. Most people in the area say that first grade is a "survival year" but I believe that perhaps this school needs new teachers who are vibrant and make learning fun, not miserable.

So far we've had a great experience with this school, the staff, the teachers and the parent club. My daughter is in first grade and has loved attending Mark Twain for two years.

Twain is a great community of people. From teachers, to staff, to volunteers. Friendly and Fun.I feel that so far, my children (lower elementary) are on pace with where they should be at their grade levels and even excelling in certain areas. The teachers are caring and I love that my daughter's teacher this year truly inspires and encourages her to be who she is. She praises her at the right times and settles her when needed. There is a reason that so many people school of choice into Mark Twain :)

Twain Elementary School is a good school, with caring teachers, principal, and support staff. My children, who are "school of choice" and have been at this school for the last 6 years, have flourished under all of the teachers that they have had from K - 5. The teachers are very receptive to questions and suggestions, especially when you request that your child be challenged a little more. Twain currently has Science and Social Studies Olympiad, and Chess Club, but I do wish there were more after school activities or clubs for the students to get involved with. There are many opportunities for parents to get involved and volunteer their time with activities/events hosted by the Parent Club, and to make lifelong friends while doing so.I do wish that the parking lot was not such a problem, but that change would have to start with the parents. All in all, Twain is a good school, with great staff! I have been extremely happy with our choice to attend Twain.

Parents: definitely a "parents club" situation. If you're on the outside, they make sure you know it. Principal: Aloof and seems bored. Only gets involved when he has to. Teachers: Only one I have run into has been horrible. And when I say horrible, I mean that there is not enough room to describe the complaints against her. She has a serious lack of communication and allows kids to be bullied. All the other teacher so far have been wonderful. Office/Support Staff: Good. Really nice and attentive. Parking lot: a nightmare.

So far I have been less than thrilled with Twain Elementary. I find the curriculum sub-par. The teachers and office staff are friendly. Discipline seems to be non-existent here.

This school has a huge bullying problem. When parents go to the principal for help ,he does nothing. He will insist that there is no bullying problem at his school even when you have witnesses. I would say stay far away from this school!

I purchased a home in the Fraser district because I heard Fraser schools are a good choice. I was sadly disappointed in the quality of education my daughter received especially the 3rd grade. K - 2 was ok, not very challenging but OK. However 3rd grade was ridiculous to the point that my husband and I made the decision to change her schools. They spent the first month and a half teaching "test taking strategies" so that the kids can take the MEAP test. The rest of the year was spent watching home movies and catering to those children that were not understanding the material being taught. My daughter was not in any way shape or form challenged and when I asked that she be graded a bit more harshly on things such as penmanship and English I was told by the teacher that "that's not how I grade". Speaking with the principal will get you absolutely nowhere as all he is concerned about is being a Title 1 school and getting more low income families signed up for free lunch. Bottom line, we moved our daughter to a new school this year and she has been struggling to keep up with the rest of her class due to the poor job Mark Twain Elementary did educating her especially last year!

Great school too have the kids go into. Don't like some of the parents that work there. And they know who they are. They will will talk bad about your kids. Talk bad about how one raise there kids. Put it this way if your not in the circle your kids will not be anything more then students there. Personally I would rather send my kids to roseville school. And the principal there doesn't give one cent how a parent feel about what goes on there.

Great school, my daughter has learned so much. The teachers are fantastic. Everyone works together for the better of the kids. The principal is always available to talk.
