My daughter and I are new to Warren and this school is ridiculous. I got harassed and yelled racial slurs at me while dropping my daughter off. I also got the back of my car smacked while I was parked in the pick up drop off area and I told the office and they just looked at me. They mark you for early pick up if your 5 minutes early picking your kid up some of us do this on our work Lunch break. My daughter gets written up for bringing certain snacks she likes but comes home everyday from school hungry. Now they do send her hold with stuff, however why can’t she eat at school what she likes for lunch. Also they give the second graders too much homework and it’s Alot on the parents who work 10 hours with less than 5 hours of sleep to stay up working on papers. They talk over you in the office when you have questions and the ladies seem snappy.

The students are expected to be responsible at such young ages with NO parental involvement. If you are looking for an environment where you expect teachers to be in touch with you regarding your child, this is not the place for your family and its not a environment I recommend ethnic families of color attend as they seem to have a predjudiced nature toward certain children and emotional needs are not met unless they are kindergarten or 1st grade. they do not take parent concerns seriously and neither does their district administration, they do not encourage your child to seek help and when they do they are over-disciplined. the principal tries but, with the hierarchy of the teachers, he will always take their side, never a parent. Make sure you meet the teacher before the year starts because they will NOT switch your child's class. Kids items go missing ALL the time and they will put the responsibility on the child to find it otherwise, they will not find it so keep photos of whatever you send your child with to school daily. I do not recommend this school for families who are looking for a good family-school partnership, they want kids who are robots with no feelings and parents who ask no questions. Please steer clear of this school.

We love Wilde. We have 2 kids there now and could not be happier. Teachers are above average. Well qualified and fully committed to their students. Staff is great. Know there stuff, efficient and professional. The principal is awesome. He is so committed to all of the students. This is really an amazing school.

I have two kids that attend Wilde and we couldn’t be happier. They have helped my daughter excel and keep reaching her goals and my son who has some speech issues gets all of the extra help he needs. The principal is amazing. The office staff is amazing. The teachers are some of the most amazing people I have met. Everyone here goes above and beyond. Great parent volunteers . There is no other school out there like Wilde !

Parking lot is extremely unsafe. My daughter has attended the school for 3 years now i have made complaints nothing has been done. My daughter and I have almost been hit my mulitple cars using the cross walk in front the the main driveway. I have issues with teachers refusing my daughters snacks stating they are nutritional but goldfish crackers are. The principal talks down to you anytime you have an issue and that issue is subsequently pushed under the rug. Poor management over all. If you dont want to be jerked around then pick another school for them to attend.

All 3 of my boys attended wilde. The office staff is warm and friendly. The teachers go above and beyond duty and have great empathy for the students. The principal is always working hard to keep the school running smoothly. In addition the parents are so involved that at times I remember an overabundance of volunteers. I will miss this school as my youngest graduates this year.

There is no finer elementary school in all of Macomb County. The teachers are first rate led by a dynamic principal. Staff are actively involved in both academics and extra curricular activities, helping to provide more than just classroom learning. The PTO helps make things happen you don't see in many schools such as a gardening club, school newspaper, drama club, yearbook club, and a talent school. In addition there are several family-fun events throughout the school year.

My grandchildren attend Wilde. This is an amazing school. It begins with an outstanding principal who demands excellence from his staff and has high expectations from his students. Everyone is accountable and for their actions. The entire staff cares and loves the children. You will be hard pressed to find a better school for your child. Also, the PTO is very active and supportive of this school.

Wilde is going down hill. My child has been there for 5yrs now and the last two years have been all over the place! The school has made changes, puting special needs kindergarden teachers as 3rd grade teachers, a few 4th grade teachers vanishing resulting in larger class sizes. What Zi dont understand is that Warren Consolidated Schools recieved some grant money, I believe 5 million dollars and put high tech computer/projection screen devices in EVERY class room. I am not impressed with them and dont understand how they will help my child in a class of 40+ students. The district should of used that grant money to get more teachers to keep classes small resulting in less overwhelmed teachers to give a quality education each Wilde student deserves.
