My two daughters have attended Montessori Learning Centre for the last 7 months, since we moved to the US from overseas. Initially, I was apprehensive about how they would adjust to the preschool environment, as they'd previously had a Montessori-trained nanny caring for them in our home. However, once the girls started, they settled quickly and were very happy. My younger daughter has been in the toddler class, with the fantastic Mrs Brophy and Mrs Costaldo. My daughter has delayed speech but her teachers were very patient with her and ensured they could understand her. My older daughter was in a multi-age class, spanning 3-5 years, with Ms Monica and Ms Mariana. They recognized her shyness and adapted their approach to her. I could not have asked for better teachers or a better learning environment for the girls. The classroom activities covered physical, mental and emotional development and the girls have thrived during their time there. I highly recommend this preschool.

I have had nothing but a positive experience with MLC. Both the teachers and Maeve Manning, the director of the school, have been a positive influence for the children. They provide both a stellar education for the students with an academic program that focuses on providing our kids with the latest advancements in education in a warm and nurturing environment that cannot be matched. I have many years of experience with this school, and it continues to stand out as THE most exemplary Montessori school in Bergen County.

We pulled our son from this school after 2 weeks since it wasn't a good fit for us after adjusting to the move to Ridgewood. The teachers were wonderful (and hopefully well compensated), however the administration gave us a hard time about this decision and pressed us to stay since apparently "nobody does this". Classroom observation is marginally allowed (I believe it's a privelege) .. but in the end it was an expensive learning lesson for us since out of $2550 only $850 was returned.

i have been to many pre-schools in the area and this one stands out in its excellence! the teachers and principal are superb!

My son went to this school for 3 years; we loved the school so much the teachers and the director are very caring and helpful. They make you feel like you are part of their family. My son is in kindergarten now and is reading at a second grade level. This school is really the best in the area
