They are going to get the job done by getting your child to learn and to read…it’s the culture that is the problem. There is no diversity. It’s a Vineyard Vines commercial and some of the parents are a nightmare (entitled). The teachers engage in way too much gossip and at times have been described as “unethical” and “biased.” They have also been accused of selecting favorites. Good learning environment, terrible culture.

Our daughter started kindergarten this year and we have really loved her learning. Her teachers are very dedicated to the children's learning, they use many learning methods that make learning fun. Always in contact with the parents, really very satisfied.

Absolutely disappointing, they will pass your child on to the next grade without ensuring that the child actually understands the material. Unfair grading rubric, and the teachers pick favorites. The children are not given the help they need and they are afraid to ask questions.

LOOK FOR ANOTHER SCHOOL. The staff is not capable of helping student succeed. They will start pointing fingers and causing more problems than coming up with a solution to help the student.

Leadership is a mess at this school and there is ZERO diversity. Luckily, the amazing teachers make the school great!

The parents of Gayton Elementary students are invested in the success of the school and its teachers. Gayton attracts high quality teachers that are committed to their students. The PTA is outstanding and all Gayton Elementary events are community centered and well attended events. This is an awesome school that produces students that are academically and socially prepared for success at the middle school level. That is why we live in this school district!

Gayton is a very family oriented school. Great friendly teachers, welcoming enviorment. I would recommend this school to everyone. Homework can be alittle challenging but i think this helps reinforce the classwork.

Something is amiss when the principal herself takes vacations of several days' duration at random times during the academic year. Where is the school district administration that it allows this? The schools that I taught in (in another state) would never have allowed it, nor would any of my principals have ever even considered it. This reflects a lack of concern for both staff and students.

The parents are very invovlved, the teachers are awesome, especially Mrs. Herbert and the staff are nice to wrok with as well. Great PTA!
