The best! I wouldn’t want my students at any other school. We feel like part of a community that is safe and effective in teaching their students. The passion of the educators and staff is amazing. The students even talk about how they love the cafeteria and custodial staff which I think shows how involved everyone at the school is.

Excellent experience. My two grandsons, currently 5th and 3rd grade, have both attended since Kindergarten and I've been very impressed. They both have a true love of the school.

My daughter is in 2nd grade and is thriving at NRE. She is challenged and supported. Teachers and admin are responsive and committed to all students’ successes. Counselors are helpful and effective.

I have two daughters at NRE and love the sense of vitality and community at the school. The best part of each year is our HUGE Unicornucopia festival - a gigantic party for the kids with bouncy castles, limo rides, carnival games, hair stylists, food from the community, DJs, and more. The PTA, parents, and the community run the whole event and the kids have an incredible time. We really have an inviting and ambitious PTA and Principal Soutter and the rest of the administration are very involved and approachable. Go Unicorns!

North Ridge Elementary is a fantastic school with a true mission to serve students and provide a superior learning experience. School leaders and teachers are well regarded and the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is very active on campus. We have seen tremendous growth in our son throughout the past two years and know that his educational achievements and accomplishments have been a direct result of the caring teachers he's had at this school.

I would highly recommend North Ridge to any parents who is considering it as an option for their child(ren). The PTA is very active and encourages tons of parent involvement, which makes for a strong school community.

Both of my daughters attended this school, so we had a student there from 2007 to 2015. They were happy at this school and worked hard. I also noticed that they were well-prepared for middle school. The principal at North Ridge is seemingly omnipresent and seeks a personal relationship with every child. He addresses any issues immediately and ensures that the school is extremely safe. Communication is very good at this school, and the PTA provides a lot of additional support.

My son is a rising first grader at North Ridge, our neighborhood school. I have been very impressed with every aspect of his experience in Kindergarten. The teachers are very experienced, caring, and dedicated. He has learned so much academically, but also been taught empathy and kindness. His classroom is wonderfully diverse and he has friends from all backgrounds which is very important in my opinion. The PTA is very active and encourages parental involvement. The principal and administration are strong as well. I would encourage anyone living in the area to try NRE before private options. It is a WONDERFUL place.

Love this school!! Great parental involvement and the teachers and principal are just the best! They work hard to make it a personal experience, and challenge students daily. I'm proud to call North Ridge my neighborhood school, and proud to be actively involved in their PTA. Can't say enough good things about this school!

We moved to Raleigh from Austin 3 years ago and asked our Realtor for a good elementary school - we landed at North Ridge and have been happy ever since. The choices of schools in Wake County can almost be overwhelming and I took some time to investigate other schools once we had settled in and I can say honestly, that no other school impressed me enough to leave our great neighborhood school. The teachers and staff are great, we have an active community of parents and volunteers. I feel welcome and wanted on campus anytime I have time to come up. My boys have made wonderful friends and we would suggest the school to anyone. I will say, I used to put a lot of weight in the Great Schools rating system, but now being in a school that is not rated very high by their system, it makes me question the methodology they use. I am very confident in the education my kids are receiving at NRE!

The staff at North Ridge is truly top-notch. Everyone, from the teachers to the administration to the office staff, is consistently pleasant, engaged, and demonstrates a genuine interest in the whole student. In addition, there is a tremendous PTA that supports the school and is welcoming and invested in all the students.

We just moved to Raleigh from Michigan and my 8 year old daughter really likes going to school everyday. She is constantly challenged with her curriculum and, is excelling in all areas. We are very happy she attends this school, and are also very pleased with her progress. Last comment, her teachers are very involved with her, and WANT her to succeed in all aspects of school.Pleased parents.
